bioshock infinite, GoW3, SR4, and many more season passes don't mention what DLC will be included. often times they promise 3-4 seperate releases, but there is no guarantee it will be 'good' content (like the crappy horde mode DLC for infinite which no one asked for).
Looks like Respawn is having an event today and inviting a bunch of Youtubers to come and play the game, and they've been talking on twitter about how they'd be revealing some stuff soon so hopefully we'll be getting new info in a day or so.
Delaying the 360 version two weeks seems comparable to having a beta less than a month away from launch. How could you possibly use that data to fix anything before the game needs to go gold? I don't know. I don't work in the game industry. Maybe Bluepoint is super duper crunching and the Xbox One beta is all about stess testing the cloud servers?
nowadays betas are less about fixing stuff, and more about stress testing and making sure they have a smooth launch. plus it's become more of a preorder bonus in recent years.
2 week delay probably means they're behind on passing cert.

Better not cause a delay in the PC version. That would severely irritate me, since console releases already cause PC games to release weeks later than they're actually ready.
I've taken the day off work on the off chance i get into this beta. I would pre-order but there's no way I'm doing business with GAME in the UK. I can't wait for them to go under and for Supermarkets to start doing pre-order incentives. Currently GAME get's them all.
Anyway, if anyone get's an extra code or wants to sell a code, keep BRITISHDAVID in mind.

I wouldn't be too worried about that. The PC and Xbone versions are more or less the same, while the 360 version is the ported version.

Vince did say on twitter that he's working on getting people who preordered a spot in the beta but is not sure if they can. (I'm assuming they didn't have all this set up when they started taking preorders)
I hope they can, as I really don't wanna have to try and fight a million people to get a code. I'd much rather just push the preorder button on Amazon.
My buddy heard on Machichina (? the youtube channel or what not) the beta will be open to everyone on the XBone. I told him I think he heard wrong, and to follow that dude on twitter. We both pretty much got our XBone for titanfall.
The tweets seem to suggest once they cement when we can sign up they'll just keeping sending out codes, because they want as many players as possible. I'm trying not to be worried.

Delaying games is not a good strategy for that - game will sell Xbones not the other way round.
Delaying a game on the 360 whilst not delaying the xbox one version won't push a few more consoles? As to the "game will sell xbones," yeah-it will, hence the delay.

Not to mention I don't think two weeks is long enough a delay to get someone to spend 500 bucks.
Unless they have too much money and too little sense.
There are plenty of people with expendable incomes that are still on the fence because they still have 360's I imagine. Look, I'm not saying my statement is right, I'm just saying that it's a possibility. Two weeks isn't any time table of "fixes."
if Titanfall 360 getting delayed two weeks gets someone to buy an Xbone, they were gonna buy one eventually anyway. that's a pretty small amount of time to wait if you've already waited months to play it.

Titanfall's Xbox 360 port is being handled by a different developer, Bluepoint. It's more likely they just need a little bit of extra time to polish it up.

Wow, a video where somebody is actually leveraging all the gameplay options Titanfall offers and not hitting themselves with badly-thrown grenades or missing easy double-jumps? Pretty rad stuff. The shotguns seem excessively short-range to me, but it doesn't look like a problem since mobility is such a big part of the game; with all the verticality the game offers, it looks to me like doing well with shotguns will be a matter of moving fast and using mobility to place yourself well.
And it might just be me, but it seems like if you keep wallrunning + jumping/doublejumping, you build up extra speed.
Nice gameplay video - thanks for linking it. I agree it's great to see someone who isn't shit at the game play it.
I like how the player is super aggressive - they always go for the up close "rip off the back of the Titan and shoot in it" thing instead of using their missile launcher. I dunno if that's the most effective thing but it's definitely how I tend to play so it's cool to see someone trying to make that work.
Seeing that person play really drove home how directional the wallrunning is - I was thinking of it like a lame version of the jetpack in Starsiege Tribes or something, but really it's very different because your movement is not independent of where you're looking. You can't fire in one direction and wallrun in another. This makes it more of a maneuvering and an escape technique than something to use in battle. I'm not sure if I prefer the limited jetparkour to the freedom of a Tribes jetpack, but it's at least really different and interesting.
I like the little "your auto Titan is engaging an enemy Titan" updates and so on. We've seen those before but for some reason they struck me this time.
I like how drop pods with grunts fall in various places around the level. AI spawns aren't just static at each base, I guess.
rodeoing a titan is certainly the most effective means to take them down on foot. the heavy weapons don't have a ton of ammo and can take a long time to do real damage to a titan. by jumping on and shooting directly into the titan, you bypass the shield and deal damage faster. also, the only way for the pilot to get you off the titan is to leave the titan and shoot you off, which gives you plenty of time to plant a grenade and engage them on foot.

Given the pace of the game, the dichotomy between rodeo takedown versus heavy weapon takedown could be a pretty solid system of tradeoff between risk and damage. Heavy weapons let you stand off and safely deal damage, giving a good way to support friendly titans or bring down damaged enemy titans. Rodeo takedown looks like it lets solo pilots bring down a titan, but you're sitting out there just begging to gunned down, like happens to player in that vid a couple times. I did think it was pretty funny when the dude was wall jumping and the enemy titan skittered back because he didn't want to get jumped on. :P
I definitely want to see how extensive and diverse the skill selection for the game is. The dude in the vid looked to be employing an ability that sped him up a bit for a brief time, but he still had the eject-and-cloak ability going. Do we have any idea how skills work yet or is that still a secret thing?
you have two seperate slots for skills for both pilot and titan. the two skills for pilots are 'tatical ability' and 'ordinance'. for instance, you can either have cloak or enhanced agility but not both, and then different explosives under ordinance. the pilots also get one anti-titan weapon to choose from.
for titans, you have a 'special ability' and then a passive ability to put in your kit. the standard ability was vortex shield, but heavy titans use a different ability called 'heavy smoke' which I assume puts out a smoke screen to escape. passive abilities include the nuclear explosion on death, the auto-eject/camo one, and the ability to carry bonus ammo.

Not to tinfoil hat, I don't have a grudge against EA, but it's possible EA could put one together.
I wouldn't get it but it's within the realm of possibility.
The only problem I have with them is they never make clear which pieces of DLC they will cover.
Not very clear to me.

On a less cynical note, a cool little video about Respawn and how they got started was posted on gaf.
The image of a handful of folks siting on folding chairs in an empty office space trying to decide what game they wanna make is pretty funny to me.
The last time I heard a dev say that I ended up playing The Specialists for years.

Shotguns seem pretty good in a genre that seems to think shotguns are ineffective in FPS Multiplayer.
I'm not surprised.
