Playing Kablamashits with Avalon last night was pretty hilarious.
I've decided that walking into the enemy team with guns blazing is underrated. I forgot to put my seismic module into my Jager, and turned the corner into like 5 enemies. Avalon's like "where are you going Altmann?!".
Valhalla... that's where I'm going.
In the one match where we fought each other, we had the same build. I wanted to 1v1 with you!
Oh man I saw you call me out for a duel but I Didn't know that you had the same build. Also, last time an oosik called me out for a duel (i think it was blue-somethingorother) he bailed as soon as I shot out his lunchbox (we were both running 4ps).
Next time call a grid coord out. WE can duel like gents (backs turned etc).

I tried the Blackjack with 6x SPLas and 1x PPC. Apparently the PPCs show in the model and stick out like a single nipple. I wish they were full length (thats what she said) so they'd hang out like a lance or something. Either way, Forbe! and I renamed it from Blackstar v2.0.1 to:
It can be pretty flexible. Need more poke, switch the PPC to an ERPPC. Want more heat capacity, replace the PPCs with a LLas and more DHS. Want to TAG? Replace the PPC with a LLas and TAG.
The other night bought my very first own mech and started crafting it to something that's suppose to be good. Not the best for a straight up slag fest but sniping it does the job well.
I only find I tend to have the issue of being ahead of some despite not being the fastest and running into three or four mechs at one time.
Grats on your mech!
I think there is some sort of Oosik Reality Distortion field where our mechs cover terrain faster than non Oosik mechs. Including non Oosik 'scouts'. It is the only explanation.
The AC2s and PPCs have the same projectile speed, so I'd be able to aim them together. It may be very... melty though.
@f3rret: I may be a few pages late, but try my Fire Ant! XL300, GR, 4 MLAS, 2 LLAS. It's awesome and I'm loving it to death
Noted! I think I'll give that one a try, since I have all the guns lying around. I'll have to be a scrub in my 280XL, but I'll put some heatsinks on as a consolation.

It works well with the XL280. Instead of mor eheat sinks, i dropped in 2 more tons of ammo so i can hang back and snipe a little.

I can actually counter your "we don't know the details, data etc."
There may be a "PBE" like environment for MWO. And that said environment may have been balanced for the last ~month now. If this was...to be true and infact a real thing, and the change just might be a heat increase to PPC's which balanced this "PBE". Then why is it not on live if it was literally a simple fix? Just as WE ALL have theorized and concluded would have been the logical thing to quickly, and efficiently address even as if a temporary measure. They...still...don't...do...it.
At that point, it's safe to assume PGI's balance system for live is bad and needs to be re-hauled, which i stated initially pages back.
Of course, You have no way of telling if this is true or not. But just because YOU are missing information and details does not mean everyone is.
Yes but being that I am in this argument with you, and not this fictional group of people I don't know, that means I don't have to care about other people who may or may not possess that information. Only you, and YOU don't have access to it.
Neither of us have access to this "PBE" which means it's just like the situation in where we don't have access to what the developers know.
That is certainly an interesting tactic to take in this discussion however. "Yeah well other people might know more stuff than we know, and you don't know what they know so that's why this is just a simple fix, even though I don't know what they know either."
But suppose you are right and there is a PBE that has been balanced for a month and just hasn't been pushed to live yet. That doesn't mean anything aside from there being some thing preventing them from pushing it through. Which ends up back at the developers again and our speculations as to why it can or cannot be pushed to live.
I don't stream anymore for a reason. Because live sucks. And live has sucked for the past 2 months.

This is definitely a thing.
I thought you were supposed to hold down the throttle to max before the start of the match, so that when you power up you're going balls-to-the-wall and are halfway across the map ten seconds into the match.
Players that piss around at the spawn for the first minute of the match, barring actual base-turtling, baffle me.

Aesthetics aside, why would you want a second-line Clan/IS hybrid, when you could have a glorious front-line omni Summoner/Timber Wolf/Insert Favorite Clan Mech Here?
So I finally made it home and tossed my Jenner-D into the fray this morning. First match: forgot my advanced sensor range and seismic modules, didn't matter due to being cored by PPC boats. Second match, forgot my advanced sensor range and seismic modules again, downed a CTF-DD and HGN-732 who weren't watching their (much less each other's) backs.
My loadout: 4x SPLAS, 2x SRM4 with 1 ton of ammo...total damage dealt: 302. I think I'm going to like this build.
