Longer DS games?

I wondered if you guys could suggest some DS games with extended play value that hopefully doesn't revolve around revisiting parts you've played or repetitious improvement (S ranks and what not). I realize that I'm practically describing RPGs and games with lengthy narratives, but I wondered if there were other sorts of games like this I could enjoy since sometimes Final Fantasy III is far too formulaic.

But as always, any suggestions will be appreciated and considered.

Not a recommendation, but I'd absolutely love something along the lines of Diablo for the DS, with randomized dungeons and the neverending quest for better gear. Is there such a thing?

Advance Wars: Dual Strike has a ridiculous amount of content. I think I have about 30 hours in it and I've seen less than half of it probably.

I have put a large amount of hours into M&L partners in time.

It's not a DS game, but Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is freaking huge as well. I'm something like 60 hours in and maybe 2/3 of the way through, with a couple classes left to get.

Custom Robo Arena has an average-length (yet boring, let's be honest) story mode. After the story mode is over and the credits roll, there's a tournament. After the tournament, there are a bunch of grudge matches and mission matches that are unlocked (plus you want to collect the rest of the parts you missed). During these grudge matches, you get access to an area that allows you to find more characters to fight and buy illegal parts. On top of all this, you can play single-card multiplayer or online. And there are arcade battles and somethingdungeon arenas where you can beat high scores if you ever wanted to venture there.

So even though Custom Robo Arena has a very average story (length-wise and quality-wise), there's a lot of extra content that revolves around robo battles and not some silly plot.

Phoenix Wright took me a while.
And there's backtracking, but the DS Castlevanias are both long (for me anyway) and great games.

Advance Wars DS! It's not only the best game ever but will last you hundreds of hours, and every minute of it is pure bliss. Seriously I don't think there has ever been a handheld game with more content or that stays engaging for such a long time. Pokemon maybe, if you wanna catch, train and evolve them all which is great and can take well over 100 hours as well, but othe than that AWDS is the absolute king.

I'd agree bombboy, but I think it's pretty apparent that Animal Crossing involves plenty of repetition. Even though I love it, it doesn't seem like he's looking for an Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon style game.

I'm gonna have to give a nod towards Custom Robo Arena and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance as well. Great games.

I've had good fun with the Golden Sun games as well. They were GBA games technically, but yea.

Give another nod to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and add another for Advanced Wars: Dual Strike.

the games that have gotten me the most replay tend to be games like Jump Ultimate Stars (easily 30+ hours logged), and the Yu-gi-oh card games (also 30+).

Those might fall in the "Repetitive" catagory though
