So, is Mortal Kombat 9 still coming to Steam? The initial announcement said it was releasing July 3, so you'd think they'd have a store page up by now, if not actually taking pre-orders...

They are located in Brazil, however I have purchased from them a few times without any problems.
Can you pay in real money, or does it require paypal shenanigans to convert?
I've only used Paypal through them, so I can't say for sure. They use Paypal as their checkout, so you should be able to use your credit card instead of Paypal funds. However you will need to have a Paypal account either way.
It's probably been said, but GoG is having their summer sale right now. Today being the first day of summer, the daily deals are ridiculous. No Steam keys, but they've got a lot of great stuff that isn't on Steam.

If that's a Plants vs. Zombies reference, I love it! Do you all think Steam will add cards for their most popular games when the beta closes to attract a larger crowd? So far the biggest non-Valve games have been Borderlands 2 and Brutal legends, while the others have been newer/ smaller indie titles. I'm think it will be a part of their strategy to release cards for a few of the most popular titles to get people into steam cards, but the ratio will always be in favor of the indie titles (which I think will encourage more games to be bought in the long run). Any insights into the mind of the Newell?
@Incindium Hotline Miami was probably my favorite game last year!
Does anyone want to trade some cards? I'm especially looking for Borderlands 2 since I only need 3 to complete the set, but check out the link in my sig for details and other stuff! Or, if there is a better place to be talking about this, please let me know.

17+ pages in under two days? Did the Summer Dale start without me?

I would imagine their goal is for as close to 100% of games having cards as possible. In my head indies are just getting them faster because being small usually means being nimble as well. It also means tha when Valve contacts them they're (again, in my head) more likely to be talking with somebody who gets excited about these sorts of programs and wants to be a part of them. Despite being a bit bigger, this also fits with my internal picture of how things go and the types of people employed at a place like Double Fine or Gearbox.

BTW, anybody have any advice on setting up a bootable Linux USB drive for Steam? I'm going on a business trip soon, and I'm thinking that will be both easier and less job-threatening than installing Steam on my work laptop.

Edit: Unfortunately their FAQ is missing the section on how to have more than 4GB of persisted data so you may be stuck with a collection of indie games as opposed to the Valve library (without doing more digging of course)
Edit: I'm blind, here are the shenanigans to have more than 4GB persisted data
So the super high price of Planetary Annihilation made me click the page just to see what the heck it's all about. Now that I realize it's Supreme Commander/Total Annihilation but ratcheted up a few notches I neeeeeeed it.
Sniper Elite for 75% is pretty damn tempting. I cant see it being any lower during the Summer Dale.
Also Crusader Kings 2 is 75% off today!
IF YOU DO NOT OWN IT YOU ARE WRONG!!!!
I don't own it, but I believe I am not wrong. I don't own it because the learning curve and timesink the game involves would make me feel guilty having it in my collection/backlog. Maybe once more games are added to the "Finished" tag...

Doesn't look like it, Visa, Maestro, Mastercard and Paypal are listed on the front page.
Credit Card or Paypal it looks like. I know I've used Paypal with them and had no issues.

10$ is a pretty good price to be honest. Even without expansions there is a ton of playtime in the game.

I've decided that playing a platformer without a controller is blasphemous.

Can I assume that we haven't reached the point that Skyrim gets that kind of discount? Am I still waiting for Summer Sale on that one?

I see your two hours and raise you 10 minutes.
Steam Support is the worst. Seriously, the worst
More than likely yes.
I can feel it coming in the air tonight.
Oh lord.
I haven't tried it but this seems like a good start ...

I wouldn't expect anything lower than $40 for Skyrim Complete during the sale.
Also Crusader Kings 2 is 75% off today!
