Is Steam Cloud borked for anyone else? Two games tonight have had trouble accessing a save from the cloud and warned me against proceeding to play anyway.
I've been getting that warning sometimes in the last few days. Usually restarting steam fixes it.

Okay, cause I was willing to not care for Binding of Isaac, but I think I actually got into They Bleed Pixels and will be damned if the Cloud will take that away from me.
I am so confused by this card market. I'm sitting on like 8 right now. Thinking should I sell them? Try to put a badge together to get something rare? Just bide my time?
It's supposed to launch in offline mode automatically when it can't detect a connection
My main PC is tethered to my laptop for wireless internet and if the connection hasn't kicked in when Steam boots it just goes "No problem" and straight into offline mode.
It's a bit annoying how often i need to restart Steam because of it but it's preferable to having to deal with the "can't connect to network" issue.

I'm sort of in a crafting mood at the moment, so I'm picking up cards that I need on the cheap. Since crafting to a higher level will get me more booster packs... I don't know. It's a vicious cycle where the only one who really wins is the Newell.

I remember something about removing your Ethernet Cable from the PC to fool it as well for some reason.
It's supposed to launch in offline mode automatically when it can't detect a connection
It was already in offline mode when I came to work yesterday morning and working 100% fine later that afternoon after starting my laptop up.
The issue I'm having is that Steam quite randomly decided to just eat the local login info and refuse to launch due to the lack of said info. Mind you, I have not had any crashes nor any general system instability. I also manually exited Steam and then shut down my laptop properly. However, despite being careful, upon booting up today Steam decided that I could go fuck myself for no apparent reason whatsoever. My laptop is not connected to any form of internet or local LAN. The wireless signal on my laptop is actually totally shut off so barring space aliens conspiring with Gaben to make me mad, no outside interference has occurred.
I thought I had figured a work around out last trip by manually closing Steam before shutting my laptop down but that two weeks of flawless working was apparently just a fluke.
So yeah, I'm wondering where that login info is stored and if I can restore it after Steam decided to be a complete cockmasher and lose it.

Well, the unfortunate thing is, thinking about getting to level 5 badges, you only get 10% of the cards you need via drops (not including booster packs, which are quite rare). So you'll either need to be great at trading, have friends gifting them to you, or buying cards.
Meanwhile, I'm up to 39 cards from drops, still 0 foils or boosters.
e: Wait, I'm up to a lot more than 39 cards - the badge page isn't showing all the games when I have 0 drops available, I guess.
e2: 62 cards, I think.
I would recommend occasionally searching the market place for cards.
I just nabbed two FTL Rock Cruisers for $.17, and I got a $.28 foil for Serious Sam 3, last night.
Speaking of which, someone trade me other cards for my 2 extra Rock Cruisers, and 2 extra Stealth Cruisers. heh.
The market's so saturated today, card values dropped like the 1929 Stock Exchange.
I can't imagine the prices have anywhere to go but down.
Well, a ton of people made a ton of cards all at once today. Once the number of available cards balances back out, prices might go back up. I doubt they'll ever be as high as they were during the beta, though.
There might also be increased demand during the Summer Dale if they have some sort of perks for doing stuff with cards (which we can probably count on happening).
I'm gonna hold onto the cards I got today until the sale, see what happens. Depending on what they do, I might not even sell them; I may want to have some on hand for myself.
So, previously coupons crafted with badges had a 2 week limit on them, so I've got things in my account which have limits up as far as 9th and 10th July.
I just crafted 2 badges this morning, and the coupons are limited to 4 July.
And we're done with Amnesia. FUCK THAT GAME. Ugh. Goddamn. Powered through the fear for the last day for the Children. Its all in my sig. Part 4 and 5 were both tonight, 4 is 2 hours 5 is 2 1/2 hours. So. Now I get to take a break until you assholes get to 1k and make me play another stupid game.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.

A SIGN OF DALE'S COMING?
Nice catch there. The coupon I got today from crafting also says July 4. Is it a bug or a sign of the Dale? We'll know in a week.

Looks like they dropped the length of time coupons stick around following the beta ending.
Previously, they went for two weeks (I have some going until July 7th, for example), but my newest one crafted earlier today is actually only until July 3rd.
I didn't get to stay for the whole stream as my husband has to work at 6 am, turned off at about midnight. We'll probably watch all the videos this weekend, although I don't know how much we'll be home Saturday as my mother in law got myeLynyrd Skynyrd tickets.
I'd like to see the Dale start tomorrow, July 4th seems like a loss piss day to start, considering how many people will be out on long weekends and drunk (at least in the USA).

I vote for the 11th... either way it's going to be an annoying sale for me if there is any Meta going on since my work Thur-Sun
Man, I can figure out if They Bleed Pixels is just poorly made or what, but like...I don't feel that it allows you to be precise and skillful because of all the air juggling and bouncing and whatnot. Maybe I'm just bad at it.
Just finished Deadlight.
So to recap
Monday - FEAR 3
Tuesday - Crysis 2
Wednesday - Binary Domain
Thursday Deadlight
Friday - ???
I'm gonna have to finishing something off for tomorrow too now.
Everyday Shooter could be a relaxing way to bring the week to a close. Although I suppose that game doesn't have a definite ending point so that could be a problem.
Why not blast through one of the Serious Sam games?
Valve isn't dumb enough to wipe the beta, and I sincerely doubt series 1 ends anytime soon, end of this year at the earliest.
Card prices will drop when the beta ends, as most anyone who really cares about cards should already be in the beta, it's like $.06 to get in.
The thing is though everyone is selling because it's all fluff, and $$$ > fluff to majority of people. As soon as it stops being fluff though? Prices are going to fly back up, maybe higher than what they were originally depending on how non-fluffy they become.
Selling/buying is a gamble; you're betting on how likely Valve is going to do a Summer Dale event with badges, and when it'll actually start.
Today's the day! Steam Trading Cards are now available to everyone on Steam.
Your testing and feedback has been a big help these past few weeks. As a way of saying thanks, we've given everyone in the beta a Trading Card Beta Tester badge and a special "Trading Card" emoticon. If you crafted a badge at any point during the beta, you'll receive a "Foil Trading Card" emoticon too. We're distributing these now, but it may take an hour or two before everyone has their rewards. Also note that you may not receive them all at the same time.
With today's release, we've added trading cards to the following games:
Binding of Isaac
Company of Heroes 2
GRID 2
Warframe
Crusader Kings II
Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4
Psychonauts
Even though trading cards are released, we'll still be continuing to iterate on the features and add new ones. And of course, we'll be continuing to add trading cards to more and more games. Stay in this group to get the latest trading card news.
That means you can simulate that deliciously entertaining, tried-and-true, old-school character creation Thing... you know the thing: where you sit there hitting the REROLL button for hours on end until you get the perfect stats you want... like a character-making slot machine.
I did that in Baulders gate. On a side not, I just started a pathfinder pen and paper rpg at the local comic book store. That place rocks, rpg, game night, Warhammer, MtG, and comics!
I've been trying to catch up on this thread. Still 10 pages behind. Holy smokes.
I have a new approach. I still read them all and post them all. But all my replies only show how I'm replying to and spoilers. Feel free to read the rest, but this is the only part for you specifically. Well unless you see your name again. Crazy thread I agree.
Interlude while I read, what is the cheapest badge? Just curious.
Fuck it's hot out. I sent my husband out to get a portable AC because the window unit in this apartment is terrible. It's still 90 degrees at 8:30 PM and Colorado is already on fire. Good thing I I have a TV and google box in the bedroom where this AC is getting set up so we can watch @CorriganX scream in the cool, cool air.
It was 108 here today. Pfffffft.
And how the hell can people dislike Colorado? That state is goddamn fucking gorgeous.
I'm in Kansas today and it got up to about that. And I live in Northern California, which can out-pretty most states and always has temperate weather. On topic, really really hoping Dale will wait for my return home in a couple days, gift-bombing on the mobile app sucks.
Yeah, well, I'm in Texas...and we can...we're fucking Texas, okay. Don't tread on me and stuff.
In forum news...I hope the Dale starts NOW.
Seattle Washington. And we need more rain. No really I love the rain. My second date with my fiance was on the beach, at night, in the rain, for 2 hours. Go figure, she loves the rain to. Funny story, I met her because she posted an add that said dancing in the rain, and I said singing in the rain. Washinton rocks, and go watch "The 206", ok you probably wont get the jokes, but it is funny.
My fiancee just beat Magicka on steam. Singleplayer. She mostly spammed arcane/earth rockballs at people, rapidfire like. That's impressive, that game is fucking hard.
All I was doing was rock balls and doing ok. I think that is sane stratagy.
Yet another long thread to go threw. This takes to long, and I hardly game anymore. Pft. But I like it.
Anyway, off for opsiong in HL.

"Supposed to" and "does" are two very different things when there are cards to be bought and sold.
It's like the whole system is eating itself right now

Glad to see you power through Amnesia, even though it seems to have been very tough on you. It's for the kids!
I hear Brutal Legend isn't that long, and from what I've played so far it's pretty fantastic!
I recall Red Faction 2 pretty fondly.
But that game is 10 years old now so.
Last time I fired it up, i thought it had aged pretty well....That was 5 or 6 years ago though.
Yeah, my over priced ones didn't sell. Oh well.
