I went with @micro's recommendation and started Thomas Was Alone. Despite getting very near the end on the vita version, I figure I might as well blast through it on the PC.
Also The Last Of Us was started. It surpasses Walking Dead with just its opening. I know it's not pc but if you ever were tempted to get a console. .... Get the ps 3 and pick this up. Fuck. So many feels.
Welcome to the Pixie Morning-News-Over-Coffee Moment:
Things happened yesterday. A lot of those things didn't relate to Steam and/or gaming so Pixie didn't pay much attention. Pixie was too focused on four-day-weekend-woooot! Also, Pixie managed to survive for an entire 24 hours without being gifted a game by some classhole!
In more dire news, two more forumers were discovered to be in a state of no longer being alive. The cuteness of @Spoit's avatar may have been his undoing, as it appears he may have died of cuteness overload. He was found tied up, bound to a plush comfy chair, and surrounded by photos of kittens, puppies, and other baby animals. A nearby TV was set up on a constant loop of Animal Planet's "Too Cute" show. Whoever ordered this hit and whoever carried it out like this - they are monsters! Absolute monsters!
In addition, @Houn has expired... in a manner of speaking. He was apparently stuffed into a vat of buttermilk at the Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing plant, and only discovered when the buttermilk soured and workers dumped it into a community pool. No, we don't know why they did this. Neither the buttermilk, nor the pool, nor Houn were reusable. In a gesture of consolation, Hidden Valley has reached out to the victim's family and offered its condolences and a free lifetime supply of fine salad dressings and dips. The family accepted. An outdoor barbecue is planned for later this week. Bring chips and dipping veggies.

2.) Valve folks hinted at such a beginning once the Card beta concluded (yesterday).

Here is our Spreadsheet with the total and list of contributors. Right as of this post we're at 689.31. If we get 310.69 I'll be playing through SS2 which should hopefully be a lot less terrifying. If we get 510.69 my mother will play through some of Amnesia. Shes not a game player though, so it'll be amusing watching her attempt to play a video game while hopefully being scared. Or she'll be brought out of the immersion because she doesn't really use WASD as movement tools. Who knows!

There is a super extensive demo. I don't know if I want to buy this game or not. I assume there are more "hidden" mechanics to it than I have seen, but the character class randomization doesnt have enough flavor to it for me. Maybe thats a limit of the demo though?

More unlockable classes from the castle building phase in the full game too which can unlock more classes than just Archmage, Paladin, and Barbarian King.
