Not to mention they aren't even finished making the indiegogo characters for the first one. They've released 2 of the 5, and I think the dev time for each character has been something like 6 months?
Does she remember who Guts is or will she pretty much walk right off a cliff without adult supervision?
The events of the eclipse broke her. The death of the band of the hawk, demons being real, and her rape caused her mind to regress to the stat of a child to protect herself
Yeah, you know, I like the concept of Berserk. Revenge seeking swordsman against a cruel, crappy world and demons et al. It's just too extreme for me to enjoy. I never even made it to the Eclipse in the manga where I was like,"nope".
The action though was great.

I love how the nuzlocke has become a running joke at this point in other videos/podcast with Matt, Patt, Woolie and Liam all taking swipes at it.
Particularly in one of the RE4 videos where Matt realized he had to record more of it and basically said "fuck my life".
that Berserk DC game is great. as soon as you stray into narrow alleyways your comically oversized sword starts bouncing off walls and you have to swap to fisticuffs and a wrist xbow.
that said i got as far as the level where you're being chased by something (boulder, monster, i forget) and have to keep jumping obstacles to avoid getting creamed and i ragequit and never picked it up again.
the manga is basically brown-bagged in my LCS. much as i'd like to read it i have kids and i'd rather my daughter didn't pull it off my comic shelf after finishing that last my little pony trade...

I don't really mind the depressing tone of the universe myself.
I'm really into misery porn like Game of Thrones, Attack on Titan and The Walking Dead.
Something about clawing your way out of darkness for those small moments of hope to keep you going.
I've seen the first few arcs of attack on titan, and it's not even close to berserk as I'm sure you know! :P Manga or otherwise.
For me it almost became like a parody as to how black things got. Its like, man, if a decent person who wasn't cannon fodder or a victim stepped into berserk verse it would explode.

The Berserk book makes the Grim Dark of Warhammer 40k seem like a Grimm's Fairy Tale story. The world was pretty messed before Griffif ascended. But his sacrifice basically spiraled the world into darkness. And the only man who can stop him has had to resort to a suit of armor that amplifies his rage and strength but is going to either tear his body apart fighting or turn him into a slathering beast of slaughter. Puck literally is the comedic relief just to keep the story from becoming so dark it becomes depressing.
I'm just waiting for Black Knight Berserker Gutts to square off against Zodd now that he can fight at their level. But that might be the fight that just traps his mind in a rage state that the little witch girl has no chance of pulling him out of.
I should caution people new to Berserk that the first (official) book was published 24 years ago and the series has yet to conclude. The release schedule has become increasingly erratic so who knows when we'll see the end, really.

Before the author got sick and nearly died, he said he had in his head a storyline built up that would have lasted him another 10 years at his, at then, release schedule.

He takes frequent very long hiatuses and basically releases new stuff whenever he feels like it. It's so popular and everyone wants it to keep going to the end so badly that it still sells and he can apparently just do whatever he wants. 37 volumes over 24 years, where Alita is like 28 over the same time period - with a like five year break in the middle where he worked on other books instead. The guy who does Berserk has basically done nothing else since Berserk got popular.
Compare this to Jojo's, which has been around just as long but has been running continuously the entire time and has a whopping one hundred and eleven volumes. That's seven stories told completely from start to end, with an eighth one going right now. If you just took 1-6, which is basically one long story told over a few generations, that's already one full story way bigger and more complete than Berserk. He's also done like eight short spinoffs while Jojo's was running.

Hence the time Matt killed that guy.

Did he never play as Hunk in Mercenaries mode?

I thought someone just cast a spell on her or something.
