Tried registering for a Square-Enix account twice, the email never came through.
I like to think this is some godlike deity's way of saying "you don't need this shit on your plate right now, son. Turn back".
I think I remember having the same problem. It either came in after a really long time (like a day or so), or I tried again another day. They need to fix that crap

The horrors off the farm could hardly be contained and the eldritch horrors within needed space to roam. Eli with a stone look on his face emerged from the barn with materials in hand. The land would expand and sacrifices collected to tame the horrors he contains.
Started playing as Carol, who is totally not Knuckles with kicking powers and totally does not wall climb like Knuckles. I love how distinct the two characters are from watching Lilac on stream and then playing Cat Thief Knuckles with a Motorcycle over here.
I read a lot of stuff about Sega in my life, and not just forum posts, but books and stuff.
Sega is a super fucking stupid company, overall. They just fucking suck as a home console corporation. Their only saving graces was the US branch with Tom "The most awesome game company president" Kalinski, and the old game developing teams. The entire Japanese leadership was dumb, incompetent and incapable of dealing with intelligent people or the videogame market. We could be playing the Sega Playstation 4 today if not for them. Sega had ONE successful home latform in their whole existence, and that was the Genesis, and only thanks to Kalinski and the EU market. Then they went on to piss all that off and accumulate blunder after blunder. Even when they finally made a good machine again, they fucked up.
And the guys running Sega today are just as stupid, if not more.
so yeah, don't expect any intelligent decisions from those guys.

people generally seem to get a megaman x vibe from carol, while lilac has rocket knight/sparkster stuff going on
milla's a whole other thing that doesn't seem to have a retro game analog beyond her yoshi jump
I find it a bit amusing that they praise the feature where you can walk up a wall without needing to build up a big running start first, when such improbable wall physics were a strongly criticized part of Sonic 4.
Of course, Freedom Planet stops short of allowing you to stand still on a wall if you stop moving while walking up it.
That, and for Sonic 4 to have wonkier physics than the games it was trying to be a direct sequel to was quite a bit more noticeable and out of place.
I think it's because FP's wonky physics errs on the side of letting you keep moving, whereas sonic 4's wonky physics would frequently stop you dead in your tracks

Those cutscenes seem abit crazy long for a sonic inspired platformer though. Like ten minutes.
They do offer a no-cutscenes version, if ever you want to just go through each stage without them.

it's been updated to work on mac and linux recently, and isn't hardware intensive at all
also it's coming to wiiu at some unspecified date
