What is Rogue Legacy? (taken from the official site)

Rogue Legacy is a "genealogical Rogue-Lite" in which you play a knight on his/her way to lift a curse from your family. If one of your characters die, it's game over and he/she is gone. Don't lose hope though! Everytime you get shot in the balls and suffer another death you can upgrade your castle with the gold you've found in your last run, so each playthrough gets a little bit easier and you actually make progress! There's new equipment ready to be forged, runes who enhance your stuff with magic abilities to be found and a crazy architect who's capable of locking previous designs of the castle down for you, so you can go back and explore the exact same dungeon where your previous wannabe-hero died! No back to square one like in all those other fancy games like Nethack or ADOM! Sounds good? Yes it does indeed!
So what do I do in this game?
Well, you basically get into the castle which is different every time you enter it and start hacking away. There are special challenge rooms, lots of enemies, loot and all the other stuff you'd expect from a kind-of-RPG. Plus there's jumping. A lot of jumping.
Oh, I forgot to mention that every time you die you get to choose one out of three heirs of yours who's lucky enough to enter the castle next. There's a twist though: Each heir has different classes and abilites. Some are good, some are bad and some are goofy. Just beware of vertigo.
Should I buy it?
Yes, you should! Who doesn't want to play a dyslexic mage who is ambilevous and shoots his spells backwards? Or a knight with vertigo who runs around on the ceiling and suffers from dwarfism?

I love the Shinobi and right now I'd say the class is way too strong but there's probably a downside we don't see just yet. The missing crits probably really hurt later on in the game.

Also do not buy the upgrade for the Miner. I paid 2000g for that shitty upgrade and all it got me was that the Miner is now called a Spelunker and has an ordinary headlamp which does NOTHING AT ALL!
Unless you are a Manly Man, a Man of Action and Character and Balls.
It seemed to just keep going. But like any demo I don't want to invest a lot of time into something that you can't keep.
I wonder if there's any chance this will go on sale with the summer sale since it just came out.
