So after 6 years of faithful service my precious 60 GB backwards compatible PS3 has suffered the Yellow Light of Death. Sony's going to be sending the coffin soon.
Wondering if any of you have experience with Sony's repair service. Should I expect the refurbed machine to last or am I going to have to be delicate about using it again?
Also, I'm gonna need to back up the data 'cause they said they'd format the drive. I have SATA-USB contraptions at work, but do I need to use any special utilities so I can restore the stuff back, or will it just be a matter of copying everything back on to the drive?
