I'm liking the Orphan Maker on Krieg. Already don't have crap for shields, and the massive damage on it's giving around 1/3 of my health back on overkills.

I made the mistake of starting a Krieg in a multiplayer game with my brother, who doesn't get to play very often or for very long.
I want to keep playing with him but I think he'll be upset if I move ahead in the story. And I'm just getting into the meat of the Mania skill tree, too!

So far I've missed two daily targets. Gotta say though, each target has dropped the hunt item the first time every time for me, on PC. I kind of wish they'd just gone in order for all the bosses though. I have all the DLC, but until they made the daily target Boney Pants Guy I was able to start a new character and just play him up through the target each day and it was kind of a nice pace. Now I just hop on my 61, blast the target, log off.

It actually starts doing less damage around level 42-43 from memory.
HOWEVER
If you have significant roid damage it is still more effective to have the +50% melee.
This game calculates melee damage bonuses really weirdly.
Actually this game calculates everything really weirdly. Fucking technomagister code they've got in this thing.
Still I just carry around the 200% rifle I got at level 34 from the Pirate DLC because that is never going to be ineffective.

Fuck Cursed Pirates!!!!!!!!!!
...
That is all.
No matter where you go...there you are. ~ Buckaroo Banzai
It's bad enough getting a rabid skag that is level 73 and nearly impervious to damage. The idea of taking on Cursed Pirates on purpose?
Nope. Just nope.
Oh yeah. It's been a shit storm, I normally use Thoughtlock as a distraction for groups, but that just means the Curse Pirates kill mooks for me whilst filling their health bar for seemingly millions and my leveled up Slagga is the only thing that scratches them and I can't find SMG ammo to save my life.
Did score 5 for the cause though, now I'm going to go for something a little more soothing for awhile, like smashing my sac with a ball-peen hammer.

I'm playing as Krieg and I'm getting peanuts for damage with it. The blue slag shotgun I got from Tannis for killing the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles is far more effective.
Particularly since this event further buffed them... that said still not to the point where I will use one, but maybe into that ill consider it now area
The problem I (and most other people, I'd imagine) had with them is that their reload time is atrocious. RokSalt ain't got time fo dat; many bullets, no waiting. Damage is nice too.
They're going to randomly draw me, look at my stats and see that I've barely helped out with 4 challenges, and then throw my name away and draw someone else.

i was thinking this too
though to be fair, i won gearbox swag for not actually finishing a post-Borderlands 1 player survey, so who knows!
I got The Bee last night. Farmed Hunter Hellquist for something like an hour and a half, gave up and went to The Forest and it dropped from a Treant on my third run through.
Something crazy like 40K amp damage. Combined with my Mechromancer's Close Enough, Blood Soaked Shields, huge stacks of anarchy, and The Fibber (the one that auto-ricochets) I am a fucking god.
I think today I'm going to grab the Slagga and then head into UVHM.
I farmed hellquist the other night with Krieg to give the bee to my Zer0. Fortunately I forgot to dump it the stash when I got back to Sanctuary. It's 140k amp was key for taking out the Warrior.
After finishing up the Warrior, just as I was about to get to Jack, some random mob came at me. I rampaged and smashed him then turned around to see Jack explode in a ball of fire.

With amp damage like that, I'm assuming you're deep into UVHM, yes?

I wish I had known how to farm quest rewards before I got the Fibber I have now. It's still amazing, though. Off of ricochets, it gives an (unknown) damage bonus. When you have Close Enough maxed out, all ricochets deal full damage instead of getting halved. Then the amp damage from The Bee is applied, and you end up doing ridiculous 9x damage. With The Better Half the fire rate is closer to an SMG when the magazine is half empty. The only weirdness comes from having higher damage when you aim at the floor or walls than shooting directly at enemies, but that's fine. Critical hit damage is sort of trivial when you're doing almost ten times the amount of damage on regular shots.
The only reason I wish I could have farmed the thing is for a Redundant (possibly slag) Fibber. Twice the pellets, each with their own 50% chance to get Close Enough. That plus the 3% damage increase for every stack of Anarchy... I'm just sort of surprised it's not a common build. I'm honestly curious about whether it will make UVHM as trivial as it has made TVHM.
So you have to be pretty far into the DLC just to have the quest for CensorBot. It's one thing to require DLC, it's another thing to require that you pick up a side quest from a DLC that is more than half way through the main story. I'm not even sure I've ever finished the DLC on my main character or gotten that far in UVHM.
You could look at this as rewarding dedicated players, or punishing folks who can't keep up. My friends who just started and are in their mid-20's are just left out.
Gonna have to go to the normal game to do today's, TBH. But there's no way I'm grinding all the way through Scarlett with my level 54 Mechromancer on TVHM or UVHM just for one more entry into the drawing. It's one thing when the reward is actually nice. The Tidal Wave is basically vendor trash.

Not goin to relevel a character through scarlett just to get this stupid quest. Awful target decision today.
Steam ID: darklite_x Xbox Gamertag: Darklite 37 PSN:Rage_Kage_37 Battle.Net:darklite#2197
No, like every other boss he spawns when you're in the area. Presumably you have to have or have completed the quest, though—I think they're talking about it from the perspective of not having played Scarlett yet and being outpaced by the distance between daily target bosses.
In related news, when I go to the loot hunt website, instead of giving me the usual page where you can see the target and so forth, it's asking me to confirm my email address and sign up for the loot hunt below the big list of terms, which is...unnerving. I haven't clicked sign up again lest it be a temporary glitch and signing up wipes my progress. Anyone else getting this?
I think I fucked around in Scarlett's for like an hour before I realized I didn't have the quest to spawn DJ Tanner. I also apparently didn't finish all of Scarlett in TVHM so I did some main quests there as well.
So today's target is The Sherriff in Lynchwood, and she has a chance to drop both an Octo and the community reward Fastball. Octo isn't so bad, but the Fastball has to be the absolute worst grenade I've ever seen used.
Man, why does Lynchwood not sound familiar. It's a base BL2 game location, right?
EDIT: Oh, it is, connects via the Dust. It *really* doesn't look familiar, don't think I've ever come out here before. Went out there with my Mech, and everything is kicking my ass.
