Aaaaaaaaand there's level 45 stuff spawning and murdering the face of my level 42 character.
Yeah, no, none of that. Might skip this one, or just work on Krieg instead.
Lynchwood is pretty viscious; enemies tend to spawn in droves and from all directions. Further, the bastards are usually pretty high level in relation to yours.
Note to self: Don't kill the Sheriff while she's still on her roof.
It's actually easy to get up there. Just climb to the top of the building next to it (the one closer to the entrance), then use the flapping cloth holders to get across.

Hilariously, I just went after the Sheriff... and she was at street level by the time it was her turn for stabbings. Didn't have to do anything other than gut her with my blade. She dropped the Octo AND the Fastball, and I noticed that a Lv. 50 Octo does more damage than my Lv. 61 Rapier. Sure, the Rapier is Slag, and elemental guns do less bullet damage (Slag even moreso) than non-elementals, but still.
I just killed the Sheriff and got the fastball. I figured I might as well use it just for the fun of it. I remember it being absolute ass and wanted the reminder of how ass it was. Threw it, missed with it. Phaselocked the dude so I wouldn't miss this time.
So it looks like Hammerlock will be taking over tomorrow through the next week of loot hunt challenges... so yeah, prepare to get your ass handed to you if you haven't already navigated through the Big Hunt DLC since i'm sure an enemy or two from that will be featured at some point
I'm working on the Hammerlock DLC so that's good for next week's challenges.
I got the Fastball with a nice orange color and 500K+ damage so I'm thinking that will be a good grenade for when I'm going up against big bosses that make a good target.
So Hammerlock's first challenge is up, and it's an easy one in Henry the stalker out in the Highlands... he drops the gunerang (which now deals more damage to enemies, less to yourself, and has increased mag size) of which you will use to kill Spiderant Kings.

That was a profitable run on Henry. I had't done the mission in UVHM, so I got the Love Thumper from it and along with Henry dropping the Gunerang he dropped the Cradle, which seems like it should be fun for my Psycho.

Yeah, that 700% damage boost they gave the fastball yesterday is pretty cool. Definitely keeping it for boss killing on Sal.
So if I'm understanding this correctly, the boss you need to kill today only shows up after you've done a sidequest... and the thing that starts the sidequest drops randomly?
you do the stalker of stalkers quest from the bounty board at highlands outlook, once that's done, go to the wildlife preserve and kill some of the first stalkers once you walk in, almost everytime ONE of them will drop the lockbox with the henry quest, then you go back to highlands outlook and you're right there at henry's for the kill

I just save/quited in highlands after finishing stalker of stalkers and then killed the stalkers there to get the drop.

Eh, I usually have killed all the stalkers by that point, either way is super easy
I never realized how easy it is the farm Henry. 10 paces from the fast travel point and a jump off a cliff and you fight him right away. I collected a corrosive, a slag, and an electric Gunerang in ~15 minutes.
did some treant farming tonight in hopes of getting a new BEE, found 3, the last 2 being lvl 65 ones (i'm only 64 currently) which are HUUUUUUUGE upgrades to the 61 I'm currently using... it's not even funny honestly
I think I got a decent Gunarang from Henry, actually it's probably more than that since the game puts it at the top of my non-equipped gun list, but I just have a hard time using a non-elemental gun. I just got to be putting DoTs on enemies.
I put my Fastball through it's paces against some bosses, and it did indeed prove to be awesome at that role as I had expected.
Yeah, but because of all the loot hunt challenges I have many legendaries now and this stands at the top of them all. It's got 14k damage x2 and has a mag around 48 and can wreck people pretty well for something without elemental damage.
So gentelmen, I was hoping to get something clarified with how Maylay shields function.
I've been playing a mania krieg lately, and that naturally leads to playing a character with all kinds of extra percentage bonuses to melee damage. The part that I'm curious about is how my roid damage bonus figures into that; is it subject to the % bonus damage or is it simply tacked on after the base damage is inflicted I'm curious because I've been seeing other shields that wouldn't be too bad for brawling.

The only element that has proven useful in all circumstances for me is motherfucking explosions.
Well, slag

On the one hand, most guns get an inherent damage decrease for having an element. On the other hand, shotguns . Not only do shotguns dodge that rule, they also check for DOT application on each pellet.
Explosives are awesome because of the splash damage. Gotta love crowd control and shooting through nomads' metal shields without fail.
P.S. In case you didn't know, shock damage multiplier never goes below 1x. Incendiary, corrosive, and explosive damage all get a boost against one health type (flesh, armor, shield) and a penalty to the other two. Shock gets a big bonus against shields and no penalty against the other types.

The side objectives are Don't kill the deputy and kill the sheriff with a pistol. DT tends to shit all over those since he just goes on a rampage.

The weird thing is, after yesterday's target, the community goal for today is to kill ONE MILLION Stalkers with it.
