So the damn gun drops in iolo's game, and when I do it in UVHM on my zerker, I've killed the fucker 4 times so far and NO DAMN DROP... seriously, of all the stupid-assed kills, THIS one has to be the one not to give me shit
Oh, weird, I got some kind of SMG outlined in teal. It's worth a million bucks to sell but it's nothing special compared to a lesser purple of the same level.

... I don't understand this game.
Pearlescent is the rarest of drops, which is what you got... and yeah, they mostly blow donkey balls

yeah the game is odd about drops not working sometimes

Apologies to @hooverfan and anyone else I left hanging when I had to bail, didn't realize how long the egg hunt was and was on the crunch to get across town for work.
the landscaper is rather uniquely suited to killing stalkers, i must admit.
How so? It ain't electric, and it can't actually hit them, or anything else.
I had to swap my Rubi for another real gun to actually kill anything, or even to break through the damn shields. I wouldn't be shocked if we fail to make the community goal today.

shoot the ground. wait a few seconds.
the landscaper is a mine-layer. you don't aim for the stalkers, you carpet the area in mines and they have no choice but to die

I can never friggin remember which character has which DLC finished on which playthrough, so I always manage to pick the incorrect one. And then default back to Zer0 even if the gun doesn't work for him.
This has been another exciting update in Sorce's Adventures in Gearbox's BL2 Loot Hunt.
Witch doctors are absolute rancid fucking bullshit.
I get close enough to use my guns, I get obliterated by the homing orbs. If I don't kill them immediately, all the enemies become level fuck-you and destroy me. What am I supposed to do?
Like, I want to play UVHM so I can keep levelling and getting rad gear and do the raid bosses and such. But I can't get past any fucking encounter. Getting the loot hunt legendaries/uniques 3+ levels below me isn't fun.
Is there a specific build I should be running as Salvador? I normally hate running copy-paste builds from the internet, but I'm tired of dropping $1 million+ every mission.
Witch Doctors are so awful. If my turret isn't on cool down I've got the cure for them, but if they become their whirlwind I'm in trouble.
Also Arizona was a shitty choice of a target. She's got so many fucking hit points it's fucking crazy.
I like the feel of the Hammerlock DLC, but goddamn it's got some problems. First the Crag is a fucked up map. It's way too goddamn long and doesn't have any fast travel points and that is just awful. Secondly witch doctors, fuck 'em, and thirdly fuck this Jackenstein boss fight. I got the two power packs on his back, those were obvious targets, but I don't know where on his chest I'm supposed to shoot to pop his chest open to really shoot him and gave up on that fight after half a mil.

Witch Drs wouldn't be nearly as terrible if they didn't buff and heal all nearby mobs. If they only healed or only buffedthey'd manageable, but both is just unfair.
Apparently one lucky buzz axe throw can take out 95% of Arizona's, slag and few bonus packages made finishing him off a lot less of a chore.
Yes, Jackenstien's final form is total BS. His crit point is only visible when he is actively raining electric death on you. I still haven't finished him, I just abandoned that DLC and moved on to Tiny Tina. I think explosives are supposed to get passed his armor if you shoot where his crit point is supposed to be.
I was lucky I guess, my level 50 Fibber/Close Enough/Bee combo was good enough to get to Arizona without major issues. The worst part of the whole thing was the egg hunt, I mean seriously. 23 eggs? Just traipsing about a gigantic map hoping you find them? It was boring as shit.
Arizona itself had ridiculous hit points, so many that I had to stop the fight, flee, buy ammo and return twice, but it might not have been so bad if my son hadn't been power-leveling his 44 Krieg in my 56 UVHM, making the game significantly harder without contributing much himself.
With how quickly the daily community challenges are being completed, I would guess the odds of actually winning anything in this contest are pretty damn low. Still, it only takes an hour at most to beat them, and it's a good excuse to fire up the game again.

I played the first Borderlands again on a whim a few days ago, and had a tree-mendous amount of fun. I had never played as Brick before so punching everything with exploding fists just gave me the biggest grin. All the time.
I played up to about level 40. One of the more striking differences between the two games was that the vending machine weapons were actually far better than most of the weapons drops, with a lot of blues and purples regularly available. Even better was that they weren't so rigidly tied to the player level, so you actually had a very good chance of finding level-relevant gear and even higher-level gear.
So yeah, not having to rely on drops for all you weapon needs was a nice change of pace.
Yeah, King Mong spawns quite a bit, but Donkey Mong spawns VERY little... i'm hoping they've changed that so he spawns all the time. He's located just under where Mal the robot is along with all the other bonerfarts and rakk's that divebomb you while fighting 'farts.

Borderlands 2 features massive improvements on a general level, but I feel like the level scaling hurts it the same way that it hurt Oblivion. When I'm reaching higher levels in UVHM, the enemies scale with me and I never feel truly powerful.
Like, one mook can one-shot me but it takes 2 or 3 minutes of him bullet-sponging to do the same. But it's even worse than Oblivion, because that awesome gun he has that's one-shotting me isn't dropped for me to use.
Ran into him the first time I went out to the point on the map. Maybe he shows up more on normal?

Quickest way to run Donkey Mongs spawn point is to enter the Blight from the Ore Chasm, up where Mal is. Enter the Ore Chasm, back out again, then it's a straight 20-second run to his cave. If he doesn't show, quit and continue, and you start at that same entrance again. 30-45 seconds a time. He's not that infrequent a spawn.
I still say that a random spawn boss is a poor choice for a challenge. The only challenge is trying your patience by loading the game over and over until he shows.
And why have him be a random spawn to begin with? I didn't have the achievement until now because the few times I've been out to EB, I never went near his spawn area.

Infrequent enough that I wasted a little more than half an hour before giving up.
I thought I was in the wrong place so I youtubed it. Nope, the Border gods just don't like me.
Beat Terramorphous last night, but I had to do it with a 57 Mech in TVHM against a 52 Terra
Even then it took like 7 or 8 tries
I also made a little progress in UVHM, but it is really fuckin' annoying getting one-shotted by enemies with a low-accuracy shotgun from across the map

When everything in front of you is exploding, it's a happy day.
Unless you're a stalker.
And if you're a stalker, you're going to special hell. WHERE THEY'LL HAVE TO GLUE YOU BACK TOGETHER.

It took me literally 2 and a half minutes to get DM to spawn and kill him, total
Even if you're really unlucky I can't imagine it would take you more than 10 minutes

and only one dud run
thank christ, too, because he was being a dick about dropping a level 61 hive
i wanted to get one because it's good and there's no goddamn way i'm ever getting a level 61 from saturn
Sounds like you need to be on the Bane mission to get him to spawn the first time?
