Only issue is load times longer than the encounter they're loading. It's like a Broadway play that would be great if half the running time weren't set changes.
I really like Hands of Fate. I can see myself finishing the story and probably coming back to endless mode from time to time.
It does make me wish a game like this but with tabletop combat mechanics (as opposed to the real time action combat) existed but I am probably in the minority in that.
Mostly just huntin' monsters.

I literally stumbled across a lone copy of RDR for 360 at a Walmart closure sale like two weeks ago. It was standing pretty much alone in the entire game cabinet, so I figured it was a sign I should buy it in case it ever made it to back compat.
I can't imagine they'd do a BC update with just five games
I don't want this to become as abandoned as OXbox games on 360 was
i wouldn't get to worried. there was only 7 or so games added in January and with the effort to get games working and get devs/publishers/license holders on board, its hardly surprising that we're seeing a trickle rather than a deluge. MS seem pretty committed to BC so i wouldn't expect them to abandon it anytime soon.
alternatively, i wouldn't be surprised if they hold some titles back for special occasions like E3/Gamescom announcements or to be pre-order bonuses, or to allow larger updates around Nov/Dec to bolster the selling point during the holiday season.
Based on your feedback, the Xbox Engineering team will start to pilot a new way to launch Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles. Starting today, we’ll release titles as they become available, rather than a set monthly launch date. What this means for you is that you won’t have to wait to find out the latest titles; we’ll release whatever is available, when they’re available, once each title has received the engineering and publisher stamp of approval.
edit: Unbreakable's post is the reason why this pilot isn't the best idea. It kind of encourages people to poke around and if something isn't ready yet (access to RDR was removed), then it looks bad.

I mean....I'd be more worried if there were only five games total.
Or five games planned for this year.
But this is not the case.
I am hoping they'll bring over Soulcalibur IV, what with it being the last good SC game that came out. King of Fighters XIII would be better, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I got some guy who added me to his friendslist and I dont think I know him, whenever I log on my Xbox it shows him adding me "a minute ago" is this some kind of quirk from the Preview Program that anyone else has noticed?
well it looks like MS are starting to flirt with cross-buy between Xbone and Win10, pre-ordering the Xbone version of Quantum Break will also net you the PC version of the game.
Anyone who pre-orders the Xbox One digital version of Quantum Break through the Xbox Store, purchases an Xbox One digital token at participating retailers, or pre-orders an Xbox One Special Edition Quantum Break bundle, will receive the Windows 10 version of the game downloadable at the Windows Store via redemption code.
highlighted the different ways you can buy the game to receive a code for the PC version. the Xbone version of the game will also come with a free digital copy Alan Wake and pre-orders will also include American Nightmare.
Every copy of Quantum Break for Xbox One will come with a full-game download for Alan Wake for Xbox 360, plus its two add-on packs, The Signal and The Writer, playable on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility.Fans who pre-order Quantum Break for Xbox One at participating retailers or through the Xbox Store will also receive a full-game download of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare for Xbox 360.
ok, so its not straight cross-buy, it is a pre-order incentive, but i'd say its more than a lot of people were expecting from MS. and combined with both Alan Wake games* that's a fucking great deal. also since the PC version is being given by way of a code i'm guessing you can give the extra copy away if you so wish, which may make the idea even more appealing to some.
*if i'm reading the right only American Nightmare requires pre-order. you'll always get a copy of the original Alan Wake no matter when you buy Quantum Break.
I love this Alan Wake news. I have been waiting to play my copy of Alan Wake again on my Xbox One and it looks like that will be happening soon. Plus, I have been super excited to get my hands on Quantum Break. Great preorder bonus if you ask me. Plus, cross-save between the PC and Xbox One versions of Quantum Break is great. I doubt my PC could handle it, but I'll be trying it out now for sure.
All for cross-buy as a thing (there have been a few scant examples of it, but more is definitely a good thing). I know it'd definitely motivate me to upgrade permanently to Windows 10 from 8.1 sooner rather than later. Thanks to Sony, whom I assume was the inspiration.
Yeah, it's definitely made me more likely to preorder Quantum Break. I really wanted it anyway, but I've got so little time to play things at the moment, buuut yeah that's probably pushed it up the schedule.
There is obviously a very cool, sexy guy whining at Phil Spencer on the twitters, because the PC version means they don't care about Xbox players. So cool.

I bet this cool, sexy dude is also whining about how there are no exclusives anymore. Yup.

So Gamespot posted that Gears 4 and Scalebound with be on Windows 10, though they removed that information so who knows if it was accurate or not. If true, that would make Crackdown 3 the only announced 2016 Xbone exclusive not also coming to PC.

Most console exclusives these days are hitting PC anyway so it is really just a "Not-On-These-Consoles" exclusive
Though between Halo, Sunset Overdrive, Forza and Crackdown there's plenty of good exclusives on Xbone.

That and XCOM were my two biggest wants
And there has to be more to the update, right?

The January update added 10 games.

incidentally American Nightmare has just been made available via BC along with a few other titles.

That's so weird
for now, the original and both DLC packs will be BC by the time Quantum Break releases on April 5th.
Thanks Nosf! Gonna' try it out when I get back from work.
They are cross-save, yes. Greenburg mentions it specifically in the video on Major Nelson's web site.

Fuck.
lol, it's kind of sad that any time I see a burst of activity in this thread or in a few others, that's my immediate response too.
Trials HD is BC!
So is that a bad thing or a good thing?
Though between Halo, Sunset Overdrive, Forza and Crackdown there's plenty of good exclusives on Xbone.
