I happened to have a copy of Wind Waker appear on my entertainment center a couple of days ago. The case has seen better days (there are large holes punched through the plastic), but the disc just needed a couple of fingerprints wiped off. I'm debating whether or not to play it since I never beat the game (I quit in disgust at the part where I needed to collect Triforce charts and pay Tingle to decode them), especially with WW HD coming out so soon.

I just looked it up. Apparently there's a glitch if you get hit with a bomb and die, you can hold L and spam A+B to "float" through the air. So he does it in the comic to get over the spikes, and hits the heart as he goes so he doesn't die as soon as he touches the ground.
