Just finished Saint's Row 3 today, albeit with less than half the achievements, so I'm gonna move on to the next game in my backlog. I gotta decide between finishing Red Faction Armageddon, Psychonauts, or Brutal Legend.
Hat's off to @DoctorArch for an attempted gifting of Killing Floor, only to find that wishlist item was already in my library despite that I didn't actually buy it. Then I saw the free week sale thingy and was all "Ohhhh, that's what that is."
Then I was all "Fuck yeah Killing Floor for four bucks I'll have me some of that."
...then I was all "And all the DLC for twelve bucks."
Yeah, I'm hoping the lack of entries for Spec Ops is because so many people have played it...because everyone needs to. It's like a crash course in how to tell a story properly in gaming.
I have Spec Ops and I want to play it so bad, the problem is the only way I can get it to run at a playable framerate is to run it at 640x480 with all graphical options minimized, so it pretty much looks like an N64 game. It'll probably be the first game I fire up once I get ahold of a rig that can do it justice.
Hey were are you all getting your Steam sigs anyway? My friends movie doesn't need me to shill for it anymore. It's well onto DVD at this point anyway.
Finished Alan Wake yesterday. It's really good. Playing Faerie Solitaire right now... I may never see the Sun again. That's okay though, I never liked it much anyway. Thanks again Luchaire!

So @Incidium gifted me Rise of the Triad out of nowhere and for no discernible reason.
Now I guess I must shoot MORE guys. My backlog of games that involve just shooting guys is longer than most people's entire library. It's a little terrifying.

At least Tomb Raider's done...
We will have glorious PA RotT deathmatch games as in days of yore!
So, i want the straight skinny now that the hype has long passed.
I kinda want Aliens: Colonial Marines this Summer Dale if it catches a really good sale (75+%). Just finished watching Aliens again and I'm feeling nostalgic. Am I a horrible person?

Its a fun game, its not spooky horror. It can build tension in one or two levels, but dont go in expecting silent hill level of atmosphere. Its way more of an action game than a horror game. Grab some friends, go in coop, and have some fun blasting the shit out of aliens. I enjoyed the shit out of it when i played it with @Viking@RaptorBandit and @Elimination
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.

Nope, I feel the same way. If it's discounted enough, I won't think twice about grabbing it.
The sale could literally fall upon us at any moment, you people and your gifting madness do nothing but entice the Newells delaying of the greatest season to fortify his vast Scrooge McDuck vaults.

I cannot say.
But if you buy that game, you clearly hate yourself.

OK, so GOG has the Rollercoaster Tycoon series on sale right now. I played the first one waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay long ago and enjoyed it. Is 3 the absolute pinnacle of the series?

I played through the main campaign of 3 pretty recently and enjoyed it. I hadn't played anything in the series since the first once back when it actually came out though, so hard for me to really compare.
Hmm, was having trouble getting to the Steam website, then when it loaded I had a Portal 2 booster. Worth opening?
I don't think anyone really looks for boosters when they buy, you might as well open it and sell the individual cards.
How to tell if a booster is more valuable than any 3 cards you can get: search the market for "(gamenamehere) card" and find the lowest non-foil card price. Triple that. Now look for the booster. If the tripled value is higher, by all means, crack that booster and profit. If not, put the booster up and let some other asshole take the risk of losing money.
Or if you're a compulsive gambler, crack that bitch and keep going!
Most Portal 2 cards are going for ~30 cents, and the booster was like...1.30. I'm better off hawking the pack.
Yeah, the flight mechanics seem 'off' to me quite a bit, I can't tell if it's lack of familiarity with using the thumb stick as a joystick or if it's intentionally messing with me. The flight control mechanics when I'm 'drifting' and then come out of the drift with a boost are particularly wonky. The controls feel a little 'floaty' so you don't get immediate feedback. It makes it easy to over compensate. And once you put your nose into the ground (or any object) it *really* wants to stay there.

I really prefer building in the isometric 2d world of rct2 however it doesn't have a true sandbox mode so I fall back on 3 at times. You really can't go wrong either way though.
Brave New World might get a sale as part of the Summer Dale, right? ..Right?
I'm so trained by the Newell to resist anything new, even at 10% off. I believe Gods and Kings was discounted during the first sale it came out in too, so I'm going to hold out for it! C'mon Dale, you never disappoint!

It wouldn't really make sense for it to go more then 10% off.

I did not see my name listed. quick stop in, not reading. my weekend. enjoyed sonic. ordered two wireless adaptors for pc so me and girl can go head to head. we have two wireless 360 all ready, just needed adaptors. Besides, it'd need to go to more than 1/3 off to match the Nuuvem deal, or GMG's 10%+$6 cash back

@DyasAlure, you only need one wireless adapter, assuming you're connecting multiple devices to the same computer. If you have two separate computers, then yeah, of course you'll need to separate adapters. If they're already ordered, I'm sure someone could use one around here for sale/trade/classiness or whatever.
Pretty sure Gods and Kings didn't go on a deeper sale during last summer and it came out a couple weeks before the sale while Brave New World has even less of a chance since it comes out tomorrow.

Unless the Dale starts tomorrow and they want to kick it off with a bang! /faith
I know it has been answered, has the Dale ever started on a Tuesday? This info will help me decide how obsessive I will be about checking my phone at work tomorrow at 10 am. No it won't, I'll obsess anyways. /faith

No. 3 is the worst one. I have no idea why it's still that much. Stick with 1 and 2.
good grief, i spend the day playing with my kids and doing work and you have killed another thread and are almost 10% into the next one. SLOW DOWN don't burn out too quickly!

I haven't played it yet at all, but I take it this is a Good Thing.
Go into your extras, click Shift Code, and type in W3WBJ-SC9HC-C3Z3J-3B3TJ-RS3HJ. Might be case sensitive, I typed it in all caps.
Oh, and today is the last day that code is valid.
Autocorrect is a wonderful thing.

Better nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
