What I wouldn't give for an awesome 2v2 fighting game on modern/'next' gen consoles. Something as good as TvC was, but on a console with decent stick options and actual good online.
SFvT looked like it was going to be that a while back, but then they deiced to make it a steaming pile of shit by adding in Gems and Pandora to what was previously shaping up to be a good fighter.
I'm still fairly satisfied by Kyosuke being on the cover of CvS2. And at least Batsu got to be in TvC and Project X Zone. It's still really odd that they haven't gone back to it, but I guess new models are ridiculously expensive, as Ultra proves.
Ark System Works can hand-draw brand new sprites for all nineteen returning characters & seven brand new characters, at twice the resolution of any other sprite fighter. While Capcom can't create a few new 3D models, and instead rips them straight out of their previous games.

If Capcom's being lazy, they might as well go hogwild in their laziness and release Hyper Street Fighter 4: Clone Edition. Like, not even hide it.
- make Alex out of SFxT King's 3d model
- make Haggar out of Marduk's model (or Zangief's, he already has a costume anyway)
- make Urien or Gill out of Seth
- make Charlie
- make Sean
- make another Doll
The Capcom Pro Tour is only SF, so I think the writing's already on the wall as far as Capcom is concerned. I suspect it'll last in tournaments as long as it's popular as a major game without Capcom involvement. Though they really ought to take that engine and make a Capcom vs. Capcom or something.

So how many people still play SF4 on a regular basis? Apparently some guys at a local gamestop have managed to get permission for a small tournament, and while I feel like the majority of the field i could handle using a standard xbox controller, there are a few wildcards in the bunch that I'd like to do some prep for.
If anyone doesn't mind helping me figure some shit out in certain match ups or just general training (PC or Xbox360), let me know.
Speaking of the PC version, i booted mine up again recently. does it still use GFWL? and is that still up? (does it even work still i guess is what im asking?)

I'm guessing they wanna move their projects to Phanta Rei asap. Ono did tease a new project a while ago.

So I think I've settled on Taskmaster/Dante/Vergil. I feel like if I can get first touch with Taskmaster, I can generally take out a thorn in my side character. Jam Session and Rapid Slash assists work pretty well with him (but I mean, who don't they work well with)? And obviously I always have the level 3 xfactor come back monster of Vergil (and yes, I've run through full teams several times with him, even scrubs can do it, he's that good, just learn the full screen X-factor sword loop and get a touch, then profit).

I love Taskmaster so much. He's easily my favorite character in the game thanks to his raw versatility, outstanding neutral game, easy to combo into and out of supers, and all around solid assist. His combos are pretty damn fun to do too and catching overly aggressive opponents with his counter-super never stops being funny because people just never see it coming if you don't use it a lot.

I've been missing Batsu and Karin.
Why the fuck can't they be added into Street Fighter?

Hell, she wouldn't even be that hard either, since I'd bet 95% of her moves could be lifted directly from the Tekken characters in SFxT.

I wonder if the Steel Batallion controller is compatible.

Plus it's the only fighting game my brother will play, so it'll probably be the only one I get to play offline at all.

I guess I could order a cheap fight stick. I doubt my 360 has much life left anyway.
EDIT: Tencent acquiring Capcom? http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=799715
I knew Capcom was low on cash.

I mean RE6, DmC, a bunch of other games that never really took off.
Heck, I think Street Fighter was one of the only series doing well for them.
So who knows.

You referring to the CvS2 that was on? I wish I could have watched it.
I'm still liking this.
But that was then, let's talk today/right now.
If anyone here knows their way around twitch.tv, could you please offer me a little help? Thanks.
