Thanks to @Shogun. All I did was send him a friend request so we could trade some cards. He took a look at my wish list and said "We need to fix this!" And thus gave me Jagged Alliance: Crossfire. Thank you!
Borderlands 2 has been on like a billion sales from various places in the past month. How did you manage to miss all of them? :P
I DON'T KNOW stop judging me (Nah seriously, i didn't have it on my wishlist so no alerts by email, havent checked the sales for the past few months too... doesn't help :P)

Suhweet, looks like Activision games are on sale now, like Transformers and Singularity
Singularity deserves to be played, but I'm not sure 23 dollars is the right price.
It's probably a good buy at $15. It's a pretty quality game in most respects. Pretty cool story, some really awesome areas and a fairly creepy atmosphere. Not expressly a horror game, but there's a bit of "what made that noise" going on. It has a few problems, and starts off kind of generically.
Also, it does that thing with the Cyrillic alphabet: я is used for R. At least when presenting on-screen text to the player. I think any actual writing in-world is done correctly.
So, in what ways, other than graphically, is XCom better than the original? All anyone seems to talk about is how similar the gameplay is, but I already own the first one.

The tech tree upgrades are a log clearer. Cover mechanics are simpler to understand, and it's awesome just get it.

I would say the "feel" is similar to the original, but not the gameplay really. They revamped action points and cover in fairly significant ways. Level ups are also more defined now. After the rookie level, each agent gets a class (Heavy, Support, Assault, Sniper) and as they gain ranks (level up) they can focus on different aspects of their class. It still has the same general game progression in terms of research and keeping pace with increasing alien invasions.
It's the best tactical shooter in the modern day, bar none imho, if we're looking at gameplay. Graphically, obviously they've got action cams and significantly updated graphics (and mods out there to tweak it however you'd like). I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone interested in tactical combat games.

X-COM isn't a tactical shooter! It's a turn based strategy game.
How's the Far Cry 3 co-op work? Been looking at this one for a while and just can't push myself off the fence, but if I could justify coop with the wife.....
Fortunately. You can't add more than one copy of a game to your cart at the same time. Or this page would just be filled with Strike Suit Infinity. I have a sickness. But well. At least gifting isn't drinking right? Instead you guys just get one more chance to win it and one of my favorite games. In fact it's the game that pulled me into the steam community. FTL.
These end tomorrow morning. Good luck!
Quoting this because of thread speed.
and because I feel like you guys need more cards I'm adding this one.

Talk me about Chivalry Steam thread. As somebody who mostly tolerates the combat in Mount & Blade does that mean anything or is Chivalry very different?
I'm tempted, but I worry it will just be a game I idle for cards in and then never play again, which makes the £5 a bit steep.

Yeah, $10 is a pretty good price for it. Maybe it'll go that low.

Seems random... Blood Dragon went up earlier too and made me all sad.
When I rented it shortly after it came out, it was a great weekend game, but thats it. I'd still like to play it again though.

is also good. Pulls data from other sites to get you the best deals, tells you who on your friends list wants a game at a glance, etc.

Well now I know who you are, sir. A kind and generous forumer who has gifted me the game I was most jazzed about for the Dale. You are too kind.
