Internet has been down since Friday and will be down probably a few days more. Android app lets me buy games, offline mode works pretty well, but I am missing sooo much card idling its not even funny.
So I relisted my foil this morning, and someone just paid $7.00 for it. Holy shit! I can't wrap my head around someone paying that much money for these things.
Wow. What foil was it? I have a foil from Psychonauts that I listed for $2 and have been watching the sales chart continue to drop from the time I listed it to now under $1.40. Was kinda hoping that a foil or two sold would pay for most of the missing regular cards I need. So much for that.
So is everyone selling off their foils? I assume it's too much of a pain to get the entire set at some point.
Pretty much. You're lucky to get 1 or 2 of them, ever. Even then, they won't be for the same game. So you're looking at buying the rest of the set (you need all foils for the set as it's counted as a different set in your inventory) at what used to be pretty high prices. Now they've dropped down a bit, but it's still generally between $1-10 a card, and you'll need 5-7 of them depending on what set you're trying for.
Trading is difficult, as you can't list what you want, or even see what people need, nor can you list the cards you're actually willing to trade. So it seems like most people just list cards on the marketplace instead so the whole card thing is just buying/selling and really only trading if you have a community like ours or delve deep into the card community to attempt trading.

There is an official steam trading card group where you can join the chat with a lot of folks in it. But beware, the spam is on par with the worst mmo world trade chat.
My choice won Monaco and Fez are neat and all but Natural Selection 2 is tremendous and it's the sort of thing you play forever, which means it makes more sense to buy it earlier in your life than Monaco and Fez, which you can wait o buy for six years and still enjoy because once you beat them you're more or less done (unless you want to get high scores in Monaco).

So i got the new expansion for Heroes of Might and Magic 6.
I played the first level over the weekend.
I have to ask.
The angel in the cutscene says 'hurt me and ill heal, kill me and ill return to heaven. '
My character says 'send in the lurkers'.
creatures approach the angel in a group, she screams for awhile off camera and the portal opens.
Did i really just have a group of tentacle beasts gangrape an angel to get her to open that portal?

I put some more details in the first post but damn its pretty implied they did something horrible to her, and the creatures that 'attacked' her are like pure japanese anime tentacle monsters.
NS2 is fun but I dislike the private servers. You get admins that are asshats and boot/ban people at will. After putting about 200 hours on it I got fed up with the people running the servers. Plus i only enjoyed the 12v12 or higher games and there isn't very many of those servers. Thus the reason why I play ps2 now .

I haven't played the newest xpack, but if it's the same angel from the campaigns in the base game...she deserved it. >.>

Plus, I got a random Summer Badge Foil drop: Kerbal Space Program. Now I'm tempted to keep it and look at the cards at the end of the sale to see how much it would be to craft the Summer Foil Badge.
im on a budget this time around so ive only picked up deadlight so far. natural selection 2 is hard to resist because it looks like so much fun. my only planned purchase for this sale is gunna be ff7, ill pick it up even if it doesnt go on sale. I never had a PS and i did have the game for pc back in the day but disk 2 was always bugged so i never finished it. but if i see a good deal on borderlands 1 or 2 ill probably buy those too.
Just started collecting cards for the first time last night. Played SMB until both my thumbs started to feel like they were building calluses. Then I realized that the other 3 cards weren't going to drop. :oops:

Yeah @Incindium had that problem too. I think it might have to do with the password reset I did recently. It was like a week before Incindium even got it in his inbox. I tried e-mailing valve but it turns out the password reset means i'm not "trusted" until Tuesday.

Natural Selection won because the percentage of sale price was higher and it's a FPS. Hard to top that. Hopefully we'll see Monaco later in the sale though...
