Good price on Skyrim, but worried it won't run well on my laptop... ugh, will I cave and take the risk?
I dabbled in BG back when it was first released, but it was my first experience with D&D style rules and it never clicked. I picked the EE up about a week ago and I've been pretty absorbed since then. It's still a really fun game, and I haven't found any issues with this release. Long as all get out though, especially if you're like me and insist on leveling like crazy before wrapping things up.
Edit: Oh! Forgot one little trick I did to make the game infinitely more playable. The basic movement speed is fucking arduous, but if you go into the ini settings for the game and bump the max frame rate up to 42 or so then things become much, much better. I'd recommend doing it as soon as possible, because it nearly drove me away entirely.
It also happened with Sacred 2, and that game never came back until Sacred 2 Gold arrived.
And thanks to @khez and @diamondgfx for sending me copies of Monaco! These helped reduce my stress level while I wait for my phone to ring heralding a scheduled job interview.

PM me your version of a character that should be added to Monaco's thieves' den. I will be bored at work the next two days so I'll say the contest is over let's say Saturday evening at 8 pm PST. It can be a write up, or maybe you're good with art and just want to draw someone you think would be useful/cool. Bonus points if the person you suggest is you and you have creative reasoning.

You don't understand. I wasn't worried about not being able to get a copy, I was worried about getting a copy before @daichiasuka could gift it to me. He's been able to match me gift for gift so far and I wanted to grab it before he could, as it's one of the only things left that I was hoping for. But sadly he was able to access the store before I could.
I am tempted to buy so many things today. It's like steam could feel my wallet replenish.

Huh, really looking like SSIVAE isn't going to go on daily/flash sale. It's a shame, I wanted to screw around with the PC version after Evo, but I've got $14 in my wallet and I'm not going to fill it again just to formatshift a game that I already own on two other platforms.
bg:ee is my only temptation today. never played it and this seems like the best version to play.
I'm hesitant on bg:ee. Due to a licensing dispute, Beamdog, the freaking developer, had to pull the game from their own store and assorted app stores. I suspect all the profit off today's sale will go directly to Atari and Beamdog won't see a cent. I hope I'm wrong, but that's what it looks like.
Oh man, today's sales will end me.
A Smash Bros clone?!?!?
Awesomenauts is not a Smash Bros clone, it's a platformy dota clone with heath bars. Most of the damage you do will be from shooting things, only a few attacks have knockback at all. If you want Smash Bros, you'll be better off with Fairy Bloom Freesia, which more or less is the 100-man melee mode from Smash Bros turned into a single player game with flower fairies.
So there I was on the playground when a Bully showed up, apparently @KoopahTroopah sent him over to play. I'll "thank" him later for the playmate. :twisted:
