So, the exclusion of the Crystal Tower from release to make it easier...they're not planning on taking it to Raid Finder levels of stupidity are they? Are they just tuning the normal version down a tiny bit and not crippling it so that "everyone can experience everything"?
Is there a very good gameplay video for this? I am a sucker for Final Fantasy worlds, but the combat I have seen doesn't look too compelling.
It's hard to watch videos of the combat and get excited. What's exciting is the combination of the world, the combat, and the music all coming together to feel like Final Fantasy.

It's not paced like GW2 combat, if that's the sort of thing you're looking for. It's more traditionally paced (think more EQ/Vanilla WoW/FFXI paced with some modern conventions).

We know that they're doing a Normal, Hard and Ultimate version of the Primal fights, but I'm not sure if they've ever mentioned Crystal Tower being the same way. It would make sense though. The comment regarding the raid on the Q&A just said that they finished Crystal Tower, but they want to make it easier so everyone can enjoy it.
Does this mean it will be easier for everyone or that they're just implementing different versions...I dunno.
On a related note - has any information been released regarding raid lockout timers. Weekly? Bi-weekly? I never played FFXI endgame so I'm not sure how it worked there.
The lockout timers in FFXIV were 15 minutes at worst. I remember Ifrit being 5 minutes on a loss and 15 min on a win? TLDR they are not bad. Also I think lockout times suck.

If you want to play on both platforms, you need to buy it for both platforms. But it is crossplatform, and you can play on the same server with the same character.

Not really necessary. I'm sure it's you just calling me an elitist or something, which I am, and I have no problem with. I really enjoyed back in vanilla WoW when it could take you a couple of months just to get the proper gear to run MC. When purples were actually very, very rare outside of raids.

Personally I like 2 the best of those options. Not too dark skin, but a nice contrast to the hair colors. Less 'sultry' features than #1 (personal preference, I don't really like female characters I play in mmo's (which I rarely do anyway) to look really 'sexy' so much, even if they're super cute like my Aion sorc or mithra's) and just generally friendlier features. 3's eyebrows to me look too angry, the softer angled ones in 2 just feel less mean, but still substantial. Also I'm not a fan of the scar, but that's such a subjective thing, you clearly like it so stick with it :P I don't know anything about the hairstyles for that race, but those ones look good.
