A foil Skyrim card is going for around $6.00 right now. If I'd bought it last wednesday it would've been in the $1.50 range.

Ok, so Dragon's Lair. 30-ish year old game. Shouldn't it be cheaper? Are the updates that justify the price?
They remastered the whole game. And it's not like stuff automatically get worse as time goes on. If you go to a bookstore the Chronicles of Narnia books aren't cheaper than the Harry Potter books, are they?

I'll release my master gift list when the sale is over, but I want to thank everyone that sent me something. This is a bit of lean time for me, money wise, but when my coffers are full again I will remember this generosity.

I am of the firm belief that there never will be any additional benefits to foil cards. They have their own badges, though these are similar to the normal badges in every respect bar the name. Foil cards are a rarity money sink, nothing more.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is pretty good! It's a decent ARPG with a combination of a variety of systems found from other games of the genre, like enchanting from Torchlight or a similar skill tree from Titan Quest. I wish it ran a bit better, I find turning down some of the graphics option can make the game look slightly worse, but not really improve the performance. However, it has a good feel and challenge to it. Plus Van Helsing and his ghost companion Katarina (?) make a good duo and have some good dialogue. I wouldn't say it's better than some of the others in the genre, but it is a great addition. I like some of it's various features, and how it pulls some of the best parts from other games of the genre.
Orcs Must Die! 2 is... okay. I loved the original and was super excited for a sequel. However, with it the introduction of co-op I find playing solo can be very challenging as some maps are poorly balanced around one character. It has a lot of neat extras and new stuff and is quite fun on some of the earlier levels, but I think I'm going to shelve it until I can find a co-op partner.
