I'm browsing through profiles and you guys have a lot of games! How do you choose what to play first?
haha

Some people have reported input delay with pbFX2, although I'm not totally sure that's what you are experiencing. The game is a mesh of pinball simulation and video game pinball, the main place I see the latter aspect is in the exaggerated physics. It makes some of the play in pbFX2 a bit different than a more simulation oriented pinball game like Pro Pinball or Future Pinball. I mostly notice it when trying to pull off stalls and juggles. The ball picks up spin really easily and that can make it feel clingy, causing it spin around the flipper tips and down the drain. I don't consider this a bad thing, personally. It's just different.
edit: This is directed towards An_Alt's initial experiences with PinballFX2.
A long time ago I decided I hated all the pinball video games and haven't touched one until last weekend. pbFX2 did seem a bit odd with the flippers which I think was mainly the slight delay, but spin might have added to the odd feeling. Overall it seems great and I'm sure I'll get a feel for it with a few more tries.
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

And now I've been sent into the Dragon's Lair by @shdwcaster. Maybe I'll find all those quarters I left in there when I was a kid.

I've noticed this on the PC and PS3 versions. Though for reasons, the Vita version doesn't seem to have this issue.
Is there some way to see how close I am to completing a game on my backlog? I'm pretty upset with my 19% completion rate (also how is this calculated?) and would like to get some traction on my shorter titles.

The Summer Dale may be over, but this thread's class never ends. I've been mightily gifted this sale, so in an effort not to start a class war, I'm using Switzerland Steamgifts to give away a few things. All are for members of the Adventure Team group.
Includes Darksiders, Red Faction: Armageddon, Red Faction: Armageddon Path to War DLC, Metro 2033, Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, and Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
WINNER! @BathTubb

My best guess is that it takes every game where you have at least 1 achievement. So say you have 2 games at 50% complete and 2 at 100% complete I think you would get a 75% completion rate. And if you had a couple games with just 1 achievement it could drag the percentage down. But this is me guessing so yeah.
Backlog (sooooo god damn big now)
Finished and wont play again (finished, or I will never play again out of frustration)
Time waster (F2P, MMO's, MP games that dont have a "beaten" state that I still play or will break out) Stuff I've beaten but like to play can go here (binding of isaac for example. It's not 100%, but ill work at it sometimes), or civ5.
Uncategorized (Sale time, gifted and whatever I havent gotten to get categorized into the top 3 yet.
Do we know for sure that Valve runs their customer support that way? I really don't think they do, or else no customer service would get done at all. Right now, on a Monday afternoon there are over 5 million users online. And we've all seen the Steam community forums (if you haven't, don't look, it's not pretty). I don't think a guy who works within Steam's system of informal cabals that produce some of the most awesome games on the best DD platform in existence would ever wake up one day and say to himself, "You know, I think I'll spend my day going through hateful Steam Support emails concerning CSGO Matchmaking temp-bans." I mean, just imagine what kind of mindless crap and abuse has to be read, sorted and deleted before they can even get to the stupid PEBKAC shit they have to deal with.
Something tells me it would overload the most Olympian of customer support departments.
They have dedicated people for CS. the problem is, last time I saw, for the entire steam userbase, they had two full time people looking at tickets. (last time I saw being 3 years ago, still millions of people). It lead to their old CS standard being "is something fishy? just ban the account and you dont have to talk to them anymore". From what I have seen it has gotten better but not by much.

I'm not sure where to put this, but this seemed like the most logical place, seeing as it was brought up in past Steam threads, in case anyone is interested:
For a game whose title is composed purely of clichés, Anomaly is unexpectedly refreshing. I wish they’d called it Guide a Convoy: Past Turrets – in fact, I’m going to pretend they did.
In Guide a Convoy: Past Turrets, you guide a convoy of different vehicles past alien turrets.
Le_Goat on
While I agree that being insensitive is an issue, so is being oversensitive.

It's part of the achievement showcase, so it's entirely based on achievements.
Is Prime World Defenders worth ten of the dollars?
I figure I can sell enough cards and dota2 stuff to afford that.
@Blendtec, I loved it. It's a solid TD game with a very addictive card collection aspect.
The 'plot' is terrible and the writing and voice work is not so, you know, good. But the gameplay and card collecting crafting is easily worth the price of admission. Also, you will be worried as you start to play that the whole thing is a front for some sort of F2P microtransaction shenanigans. Fortunately, there's no store and all the various currencies can be earned in game. It was pretty grindy for silver during the beta, but they substantially upped the payout on sidequest maps in response to feedback and that helped enormously.
But there will be giftretribution. That is, if Steam support ever decides to stop playing the "Half Life 3 in-house beta build" long enough to do their jobs and let me give them all my moneys again.
I guess making Valve beneficiaries of my will and co-owner of my bank accounts wasn't enough to keep them happy. I'll be express-mailing them a pint of my blood tomorrow. Hopefully that will get me back in their good graces...

Your not having access to Steam funds was kind of the point. Gifting you during the Dale was SO GODDAMN HARD, it feels GREAT to finally get you. This must be what a pedophile forced to repeat the 3rd grade must feel like! Err, I mean, this must be what finishing a game in your backlog must feel like? Maybe it's what coming up with the perfect, non-offensive metaphor feels like? Nevermind. It feels good. YOU CAN'T TAKE THAT FROM ME!
Yes game overload Anxiety is a real problem. I have learned to resist the summer sales on AAA games that are down to 10-15$ becuase Ill never get to them.

It's kind of your own fault. I heard you were luring in Quebec tourists with the promise of free poutine and then robbing them to use their credit cards to fill your Steam wallet. For shame. All they wanted to do was enjoy our American beaches in their speedos and you take advantage like that.

Poker Night 2 - Found out Ash isn't voiced by Bruce Campbell. I'd demand a refund, but it's not like Steam would get back to me. The banter isn't too annoying, though it can get a bit repetitive. GLaDOS throwing around insults was a nice touch. It does seem a bit too easy. I'm not a poker player, but after two tournaments I figured out a strategy which seems to be cheat mode.

I used to play with 2 poker groups. One played to win but none of us would be considered good. The other treated the game as secondary to drinking / socializing. I did well in the former at least in the sense that I made money overall. I don't think I actually won a game with the latter. I treat the Poker Night games as the latter; drunken fools having fun but will go all-in at any point because they're bored. Or maybe they just think that all those red cards are actually the same suit.
Big props to @heatwave (which happens to be the name of one of my sons favorite transformers) for his gift of Tomb Raider! Very excited to sit down and play this considering all of the positive feedback the people in chat have about it!

Thanks man, I do love some Don Bluth!

Yes it does. Pinball with kbam wouldn't be the same as pulling triggers.

Congrats again to @Svevin for winning Crayon Physics Deluxe!

AniList
I CAN'T be the only one to notice @Luchaire mention she's got a wishlisted item on sale. I CALL DIBS!!!
Yeah, it has integrated Xbox 360 controller support, which is what I've been using.
I'm tempted to unpack my X-Arcade stick and use its side buttons to see if it feels better.
Steam Support is the worst. Seriously, the worst

I don't need categories. All I need is to gaze lovingly at my beautiful game-quilt.
This is me also.
This guy ArcSyn is full of class!
Anomaly: Warzone Earth free if you Like their Facebook page
Also, I love how PC Gamer starts the review:

Meteor Tower is civilization!

Getting started with BATTLETECH: Part 1 / Part 2
Gah! He did, too.
I've actually probably mentioned it a few times because I've been trying to buy it since yesterday.
Thanks for Mortal Kombat, @DaringDirk!

I do not envy any of you....well I kinda do. I'll stick with my 46 for now thank you.

I'm still waiting for the PA game of Ricochet to start.
I'd suggest using the shoulder buttons instead of the triggers, maybe using triggers could account for your input delay?
