A large portion of fossils just left the yard. Maybe I'll update the numbers tomorrow, and follow up with a weekly Sunday update.
Started towards phasing out the 'tools' section and just tossed all the silver tools into the rare pile.
Starting in August, I'm only keeping one of any fossil that comes through. Two tricera skulls? Only by special request would I ever keep a second one now. Otherwise, that second one is getting sold, and that money will be put forth towards buying out Nooklings, Able Sisters, Kicks, and Leif.
The flower expansion has begun, and free-to-take flowers can be found in the mid-east side of town.

I play the stalk market hardcore when I want to.
I dumped about 2 million in a few weeks ago, and there's a town somewhere on the forum that eventually has over 500 bells/turnip.
A few weeks of that in a row (plus a town littered with every square available with turnips) resulted in just over 130 million.
Edit: And I apologize for being rather abrasive when you visited. I can't blame it entirely on the lack of adequate chat function and space, but that is a large portion of it.
The other portion is irritation at myself for not having ample space to provide enough framework to type out my desired rules, and a subsequent lack of them being followed sometimes because people can't cipher what I tried to cram all into one post on the dumb board. XD

Like most things on a forum, people want quick access to whatever they want with little effort on their end. I'm not trying to be mean, that's just simple fact. Some people want to play the game and if they get a fossil they didn't have before by random happenstance when they get their daily 4 assessed, that's dandy!
The spreadsheet is awesome, but most people don't care to get as detailed as we do for certain things. We're the type who are willing to grind out the minutia so we can optimize our play experience in a shorter period of time.

So I was watching Pacific Rim the other day and before the film, they showed a trailer for Animal Crossing while I had my 3DS in my pocket in hopes of getting a Streetpass. So I stand up, hold my 3DS high in the air and yell "Animaaaaaaaaal Crooooosssiiiiing HOOOOOO!"
Okay, that didn't really happen. But I did think "heh..cool".
I cleaned up my storage last night and woke up early before going into work today, all so I could make a large turnip investment this week. I ran, grass be darned, all around my town this morning around 7:00 and for the life of me could not find Joan. I'm positive that my clock is right and everything, so it was pretty weird. Was she just a master of hide and seek? Can she go into buildings or up to main street?
Follow up question. Can I set my system clock back to Joan Time when I get home from work, buy turnips, and then set it back to real time without ruining my turnips or irrevocably damaging the time space continuum or possibly becoming my own grandfather?

The long and short of it is yes. You've gotta be careful, though. You can go back in time to buy turnips, but if/when you fast forward, make sure it's to a time you haven't played through yet, which I doubt would be a problem as you'd just set it back to 'current' time.
