that....that is something I didn't really need to read.
I don't know who's at fault for removing the lightgun compatability for the US version but leaving it in for all other releases.
All I know is it had something to do with Columbine.
Im surprised Jack T. hasn't gone off on Chronicals, the way he is Manhunt 2. Considering what with the shooting at VT

He probaly thinks the way the wii controllers made is a good enough reason.
It could be that it's from a Japanese company that doesn't have a huge corporate presence in the US, which is really the only country where he can practice law in any way. Also, he's probably completely focused on Manhunt 2 at the moment.
1up's review. 3 paragraphs and crappy screenshots. He referred to the controls as "tacked-on" while the IGN guy said they were superior.

Holy shit, this is fucking sabotage right here! Another review which does not mention the different control options you have, while at the same time pimping the PC version for its higher-res graphics AND saying you can get the same game cheaper by getting either PS2 or GC (which at this point would probably be used copies and therefore Capcom wouldn't get any of those sales).
Unbelievable! I'd love to hear how they explain this on their next podcast.
Why must I have a large backlog and little money instead of the other way around? ......er, large backlog for me. I know it'd be small for everyone else.)
The Good: Intuitive, elegant controls make playing RE4 a joy all over again; nail-biting action features creepy enemies and gargantuan bosses; top-notch production values create an atmosphere of tension and dread; long, suspenseful story and excellent replay value make this a steal for 30 bucks.
The Bad: The controls soften the difficulty level a bit; no wii-specific content.
I went out to every store hoping to find it today (since Amazon is being an ass) but no luck. Gonna also check tomorrow. I'm hoping my luck will come in.

I imagine it shouldn't be hard to find at normal stores. I'm CERTAIN that EBstops will give you shit about not preordering (if you didn't ) and then not sell you the game.
I like how some reviewers say that the controls are great and sometimes make the game a little easier, while other reviewers knock points for the controls being 'tacked on' and more difficult because they 'add an extra step'.
