Did you know regenerators can open doors. I locked one out using the bar doors on a switch and stood there making fun of him, trying to check him out with my scope. Then he opened the doors and rocked my world, I screamed like a bitch.
See, that's why I don't leave them alive long enough for that to happen.

I only played on GC but the last boss was deceivingly easy. I just switched between shotgun and rifle depending on the situation and he went down fast. I really expected another combat phase after that.
Lol I know the feeling. I do that a lot, which is why I had about 30 grenades by the end of the game.
I just spammed the fire ones on the last boss.
I never know quite what to do with incendiary grenades. Hand grenades are always useful; flash grenades often. Incendiary grenades are just kind of there. They always end up taking up a bunch of space.
I'll use the things, but barring like, two points in the game, I never feel that they're the best solution to a given problem.

I feel the opposite. I use grenades in emergencies. And since hand grenades have to bounce and wait a second, I can't use them in a pinch. But if I get overrun by 5-7 "zombies" I can toss one in front of me, and reload/shoot their f'in heads off.

Sold out. Of a budget-priced port of a 2 year old game. Wow.
To be fair it is the best game ever. Thats why we refer to the videogame timeline as BRE4 and ARE4.
So you could say "Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best game BRE4" and not be completely wrong.

Was that on Pro?
He's a pain on Pro... but yeah surprisingly easy.
Nah that was on normal, never actually owned the game so I only finished it once. I just didn't expect him to fall so fast and effortlessly compared to other bosses I had to fight throughout the game.

Indeed.
He's much more devious on Pro. But yeah, it's still about the same,
Shoot the eye on the leg, stab/shoot him in the real eye
only he throws a lot more stuff at you, and it hurts more.
I'm at the part right after where you first meet the merchant and I keep getting raped by enemies I can't see that seem to pop up behind me out of nowhere whenever I have to run away and reload.
Glad I rented it instead of buying it, because unless I get better I'm going to have to stop before I break my Wiimote.
And yes, I'm doing the headshot kick thing. There's just too many people.
You shouldn't headshot/kick every single time. You might end up with too many people swarming you.
The game is tough for beginners at the start of the game. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the first village encounter when you're not used to the game and its mechanics.
But.. I think you're past the very beginning. I d'no. Try using the guns and keeping distance. Use the shot/kick combo to save ammo, but only when it's safe to do so.
If you're getting swarmed, run for cover. Get somewhere that they cannot sneak up on you from.

Remember, the more you continue the easier it gets.
Best strategy is to find yourself some fortification. The top of the path on the right is where you want to get to first, then you can hold them off as they come up the hill. Use the dynamite guys and explosive barrels to your advantage.
Once they stop coming(there may be some stragglers), go to the house suspended above the chasm and climb the ladder from the outside. Guys are going to be coming for you once you get near the house so you can try to grab the emblem and get to the door or stay at the ladder and fight them off from below and to the side. It may be easier just to run up the hill again.
And don't buy a rifle yet if it's not already too late.
Go for some gun upgrades.

Shit.
Don't worry about it, I did that too. But then again, I could afford that and the handgun upgrades by that point in the game.
Even then, I had trouble...many many deaths in that section. Eventually I just ran from chest to chest, only stopping to shoot the guys in the legs so they would fall down. So just run.

The knife is a great asset in this game. Use it on downed enemies and you'll save tons of ammo. Also, the more enemies you kill the more money you'll have for new weapons/upgrades.

i just got finished with that part where
my question: is it possible to kill him? if so, do you get any cool shit from doing so?
I always hang onto the rocket launcher for him.
Same. Best time to use the Free Launcher.
Took for-goddamn-ever, and most of my ammo.
ah damn, i had a rocket in my bag too, but i was having "GOTTA SAVE IT FOR WHEN I NEED IT" syndrome. oh well.

if you screw up like I did and MISS HIM with the launcher run like hell.

I remember when I had time to be good at games.
I remember going back up to that church after that part thinking "Hey, it's that dog..OH SHIT NO IT'S NOT!"
I did the same thing, and then I slid the cursor over to "yes, retry" after getting my face bitten off.
I screamed like a womanly girl.
