[PS Vita] - Ys sir, can I Ys have some more?

I'm going to be super bummed out if they don't have a physical release for Vita for FF X. Because I'm pretty sure my husband will end up putting an absurd number of hours into blitzball and I'd really like if our TV could be freed up for me to play other stuff.

I'm overjoyed at all of the epic jrpg's that have been released on handhelds. I am most definitely one of those people that just can't put in the time needed if I'm restricted to one place.

Also, I refuse to entertain the notion that FF X/X2 HD won't be one the Vita. This would be an unacceptable situation therefor it won't happen. Period.

Thank you all in advance for conforming to my reality.

Oh, there's no question that the games will be on the Vita. The only issue is whether we'll actually get carts or if they'll just say "Fuck you, download 'em."

Then you're all set! Just gotta wait on the release date.

It's just a concern since the games are being released on separate carts because combined, they're too big for one cart....which means they're pretty hefty. The whole memory card issue is further exacerbated by this, and then there are those of us who have just the shittiest internet which means they would take forever to download....so having the option of a cart would be ideal.

Eh, I'm using my 32GB card as a 'current play list' and then using all 14TB of HDD space I have on my computers to store the games I've collected. I'm going to be abusing this setup with PS+ giving me more games than I'll finish any time soon.

I lose physical media, it's just how it is. To this day I have never finished FF Tactics Advanced because I lost the cart twice. I lost the cart for the first Mario and Luigi game as well. I only buy carts for the 3DS because my husband will want to play the game and it's easier to do it with a cart and since the account is tied to machine I'm afraid I'll smash it and lose everything. It's so easy to buy everything digitally with Sony, if they just had insane sales quarterly I'd think they were shadow owned by Valve.

OK. Watched the trailer and refreshed myself on the fact the it's just not a game FOR me. I can see how it would be great for a lot of other people and I hope it does well and encourages more unique little games.

I am though. Not the spoiler part, the first part. I feel bad enough when I'm playing Vita or 3DS while laying on the couch and the screen goes all black, allowing me to see my reflection... ew.

Even if I wasn't an ogre, I don't think I'd be able to Tearaway(oh ho ho!) from my PS4 for any amount of time to play a Vita game that isn't a remote play PS4 game.

OK, Tearaway is yet another reason that every day I don't have a Vita is another day spent in misery. Seriously, I keep finding more and more reasons to get one. I may just order it on Friday when I get paid if I can swing it...

It is a really nice little system with some great games. I can't wait to get the PS4 and try the remote play since it's supposed to be made of magic.

Atlus just announced a non-Persona-related game for release in America on Vita and 3DS: Conception II

That doesn't say much about the game, though.

So what is Conception? Let's look at the wikipedia article for the first game, which never released anywhere outside of Japan.

The player's goal to charm pure, innocent girls from Granvania National Star God Academy, raise their affection for Itsuki, then produce and take the "Star Children" to explore dungeons and battle "impurities".

The child's class and statistics are determined by which character parents the child; for example, certain combinations could result in creating a warrior, or someone who specializes in magic. To produce more plentiful and more powerful “Star Children”, you must increase your intimacy with the twelve maidens, the other aspects of the gameplay is typical to dating simulation games.

Battles in the game are turn-based.

Long story short: Dating sim/RPG where you make babies and take them into dungeons to fight. Said babies don't look like babies, though, I guess?

Atlus USA had a teaser site up last week with a sonogram of a womb with a heartbeat sound.

I thought it couldn't possibly be Conception 2, it would be madness for them to localize that. The presentation of the game, even if it's kind of a misconception (har), seems like poison for Western audiences. I thought Atlus localizing Aquapazza was going to be their weirdest move of the year, but here we are. Conception 2, coming in spring.

I'll probably get it.
