It's been ready for pre-order for like a month. I've had it on my Amazon list for at least as long. Current estimated release date is April 22 on Amazon, though GameFaqs has it listed as April 02. So somewhere within April probably.

Had no idea. Who's publishing it? And I'm hoping somehow they persuade From to do a Demon's Souls port.
I was hoping Soul Sacrifice would be like that, but not really. It's more like God Eater Burst, only with a MUCH better story. There's no levels, just arena monster fights(not that this is a bad thing).

NISA has been cranking them out lately, it's great. I'm hoping there's some kind of silly premium edition for Demon's Gaze, otherwise I'll just go digital, but either way, I'm really excited for that.

All I know is that Ys cool as hell. If you don't have a Vita, you should buy a Vita so you can play Ys. I just spent all evening playing it, and ran the battery all the way down. Haven't done that in a while.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
I accidentally screwed myself out of a lot of progress the other night when I updated the Vita (forgot to save before I said it was okay to close all other applications, cursed) but I'm oddly okay with it because Ys is fun to play, thus I'm not put off by playing it to recoup that time.

Good to know Ys is good. That's the kind of action I want out of my RPGs, hack and slash. I'll definitely be adding that to the list.
I bought the EB/Gamestop '16gb megapack' today, which as mentioned, has a 16gb card, and codes for LBP Vita, Wipeout 2048, Motorstorm RC and 7 other PSP games and minis, for $25au more than the 16gb card alone.
I'm... I'm going to have a lot to play come Christmas. I don't think I'll be talking to anyone that day. Even playing the Vita while eating lunch.
Is there a way to see what all I have bought on the PSN that qualifies both as a PS3 and a Vita download? Was able to find Elminage in the list by hand, was hoping there was just a, er, filtered list?
Edit: Ok, so:
Persona 4 Golden
Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God
Elminage Original
Unchained Blades
Class of Heroes 2
Final Fantasy 9
Anything I'm missing? I have a ton of UMDs, but that does me no good, eh. Guess I'll be rebuying CoH1, FFT, and TO next time they're on sale.
I hear Ragnarok Odyssey is decent, but there's Ragnarok Odyssey Ace coming soon? God Eater is supposedly a good MH clone too, but God Eater 2 is coming?
Edit: Wait, wait wait.
Remote Play works over 3G??
Edit again: ... But Wizardry and Guilded Fate Paradox both don't work on it. Bleeeeh.

Because there are games not on that list I could recommend but Persona alone could occupy you for more than 300 hours.

You're not going to find a filtered list. The one big aversion Sony seems to have is download list convenience, and that doesn't appear to be changing any time soon.
I'm guessing by that list you're looking for super traditional RPGs and Turn-based stuff?

If you hit the "..." button there is a Download List option that's basically a purchase history, anything you can play on a Vita will have a download button right on that list.
And yeah, PS3 Remote Play is far less cool than PS4's, in part because there are no reserved system resources for it and thus each game had to choose to support it.

Hey, you Ys bros, do you guys have trouble with those Monkey Kings? The first one I fought, was in the area just after the first sapling campsite you find. That guy wrecked me... I did find out that you could fight the Monkey King in that area, run to the rune when you're low on health and then run back to him and continue fighting him. Managed to grind a bunch of levels on him. They don't do as much damage to me anymore, but I don't do a lot of damage to them either. I can take one of them on, but if I'm running around and there's two or more, I just take off running...

I remember running away from the big thing near the first campsite, but there's a quest only a little bit later on to fight one and that went pretty decently, to my recollection.
Is that big thing near the first campsite a Monkey King ("Golongo" or something in the monster list) though? I thought it was a giant boar.

Wow, the back of the Vita's surprisingly easy to scratch. Already has a gouge in it, and it's only been on my desk / in my pocket. Fortunately the front screen is still pristine.
I started in on Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Curry God while doing laundry. Would have started P4G but it kept wanting to connect to the network.

Yeah, pretty sure (I'm not at my Vita at the moment). But, you know what, I think "first" campsite is relative, I think it's possible to take a southern route from the start before going deep into the forest where you get some stuff including another campsite. So yeah, I can see Monkey King being tough the first time you encounter it, if you didn't take the meandering path to get there.
Also watch out because there are crazy boars in the forest. Though if you can take the Monkey King, they're probably no big worry now.

I was thinking about that just now too. I think I may have done something out of order. The first story objective you get is that blue flag on the map by the big lookin tree, right? After doing some side quests and general exploring, I decided to head towards it. Kept getting turned around and hitting dead ends. Finally ended up at a fishing village where the people who live there are rather mad at Adol.

Yeah, it's not a great version by any stretch, but I'm going to put it on my Vita and kick around a playthrough of it anyway. Because it's FFV and it's been like four months since I played it.
I never knew people liked FFV so much. Or is it a bss thing?
There's a yearly challenge to play the game with specific jobs for charity. Many people regard it as the best Final Fantasy game, and it's definitely the most replayable game in the series.
edit: To be absolutely clear, though, the PS1 version of FF5 is by far the worst version of the game available. GBA > iOS >>>>>> PS1.
But people say it's the best in terms of gameplay, not story, right? I don't have an opinion on FFV, I've never really played it, it's just that I'm always hearing about FFIV and FFVI.
The story is nothing to write home about, it's got some nice characterization and plots along at a breakneck speed. The gameplay is definitely where it shines.
As far as version differences goes, pretty simple breakdown:
SFC: Great sound, plays flawlessly... is in Japanese. Not a bad option if you can read the language or follow a translation guide.
PS1: Horrendous localization, has load times... had some save bugs too, if I'm not mistaken. Has a bestiary as bonus content. It can't be understated just how terrible the translation is, though.
GBA: Differently arranged (and not quite as good IMO) sound to the prior versions, but otherwise the perfect port. Has bonus dungeons and jobs and a new, actually good translation
iOS: Uses the GBA translation and bonus content, but has a new "HD" art style and in-game fonts which looks terrible. Also (obviously) has touch controls, but they're not terrible.
I guess I'm gonna try playing the iOS version, because I don't have any easy way to buy the GBA version.

Generally speaking, are most physical Vita games available on the Playstation Store? One of the things that is holding me back from picking up a Vita is the thought of chasing down a physical copy of a game, especially if it gets rare.

I played a bit of FFV on Vita last night and it wasn't as bad as I remembered. The English itself is fine for the most part, though the translation definitely added some English idioms (which comes down to a matter of opinion) and has a tendency to use emphasis exclamation points!!! The text formatting is a bit weird though, and I do recall the quality of translation kind of slipping as the game progresses, in addition to the name issues.
It looks real nice on Vita with the bilinear filter off though.

It's actually not too hard to find over on eBay. Looking quickly right now yields a cart for under $18 shipped that doesn't appear to be counterfeit. But, of course, you'd also need to own a GBA/NDS/DSLite/Gamecube Game Boy Player to play it.

Yeah the only physical Vita games I own are UMvC3 because it was a gift and Muramasa due to the awesome limited edition goodies. Everything else is digital.
Also, if you liked Dissidia go rebuy that. It's way better on the Vita with the additional stick.
I go mostly digital and get one physical game I'll mostly keep in the slot until I've exhausted the game. The bigger this game is, to save on memory card size, the better. Everything else is digital.
Recently it's been Project Diva f -> P4G -> Ys. Next physical game will probably be the Danganronpa SE.
