I actually think it's a fascinating allegory for Japanese relationships, actually. Consider the popular trope that if someone isn't married by the time they're 25 they've pretty much wasted their dateable years and are old hags. Also, the average character in Japanese media is what, 15, 16? Because anyone over that age should be off working as a corporate cog or married off raising a family, right? It's interesting to see that codified as a plot point.

I wasn't able to get over the gross parts of Dragons Crown and I hear that's plenty fun! Having to have someone say "it's not as bad as the concept sounds!" isn't a great start for Conception 2. :I
Ah. The dating mechanic are S-Links? And it has school management elements? And the... children appear to be, effectively, Personas based on the two "parent" characters + a chosen class based on Generation Xth: Code Hazard / Demon Gaze / Wizadry Xth Generation tropes?
It seems that the PR materials are really playing up the "you gotta breed the next generation" thing... Which makes sense since they're called "Children of the Stars" in the Japanese.
In reality, it appears that the hero and the 7 heroines (which I am going to wager dollars to doughnuts are each based on a deadly sin because with 7 of them they are OF COURSE going to use that trope) have the ability to summon those super-deformed uh, creations if they work together. Each hero/heroine can have 3? "Star Children" following them around? And the star children can be one of 24 classes? 3 PCs, each with 3 Star Children, so a party size of 12? Not sure If I'm reading this right.
So yeah. Picture Persona 4 with a generous helping of Class of Heroes / WIzardry / Elminage generics instead of Personas. No sarcasm anymore, I genuinely am really excited about this now.

So Guacamelee! is pretty neat. I love the aesthetic and even though I could technically play it on my PS3, portability is always king. It looks really nice on the OLED and I'm a sucker for anything that has to do with Día de Muertos.

I heartily recommend the DLC too! It's rather cheap, and one is more substantial than the other; one's a level pack + costumes, one is just costumes. Leave it til post game though. You'll totally want more. It's the chilli nacho accompaniment to the enormous content burrito that is Guacamelee. That metaphor got away from me.

Yeah I don't have any desire to play Dragon's Crown. Conception sounded interesting, but some of the things it does are really off putting for me.

I'm pretty much convinced at this point that Sega is in some bunker somewhere hoping people just stop asking and eventually everyone forgets. But no, I don't think there's been any PSO2 news other than "whoops it isn't coming early 2013", not even whether or not they plan on localizing the Vita version (which frankly I think is unlikely).

Yeah, everyone needs to pick up Sorcery Saga. If you like Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon, or really Roguelikes in General it's worth picking up on PSN.
Sorcery Saga is wonderful. The heroine is this perfect blend of cute and smart and just a bit naive, but she doesn't take any shit from anyone else in the game and has this unerring snark aura to her that makes every cutscene amusing. Also the gameplay is a lot of fun (though not by any means the hardest roguelike).

This is probably the funniest thing I've ever seen posted. I really don't understand how you can compare black face to how women are designed in anime but I guess if it some how makes sense in your mind then you have some sort of special power.
You strike me as one of those people who sees women sexualized in absolutely anything just so you can try and feel like you are part of the solution.
Also, it seems kind of odd to go off the deep end about something like this when you have Barbara the Barbarian as your avatar. Totally not sexualized or anything.

I'm pretty much convinced at this point that Sega is in some bunker somewhere hoping people just stop asking and eventually everyone forgets. But no, I don't think there's been any PSO2 news other than "whoops it isn't coming early 2013", not even whether or not they plan on localizing the Vita version (which frankly I think is unlikely).
Edit: Also, as silly as I think the outrage is, let's not make this some kind of offense-bait race.

What makes people think that they'll ever win anyone over by countering an argument with insults and hateful speech? Especially when it's about "offensive content", probably the single most ironic situation it can be included in.

Sorcery Saga is wonderful. The heroine is this perfect blend of cute and smart and just a bit naive, but she doesn't take any shit from anyone else in the game and has this unerring snark aura to her that makes every cutscene amusing. Also the gameplay is a lot of fun (though not by any means the hardest roguelike).

Alright fuck that part got out of hand. Let me start over. They used Sailer moon as an example and that sexualizing young girls was okay as it is somerthing that's been going on in anime for years. Saying that is stupid. There are plenty of awful things in entertainment that have been entertainment for years. Just because it's seen as acceptable doesn't make it right. Objectifying women and even worse women that look like they are young teenagers is disgusting and the fact that it's seen socially accaptable doesn't make it right. Blackface was also seen this way but now it's seen as horrible and revolting.
