I'm genuinely astonished that they haven't done an alternate announcer yet.
Hell, Dota's literally had them for over a year. Riot's kind of behind the curve here.

Hi guys, I hate to spoil peoples fun, but I figured you all need to know about this. I just got an email this morning from Riot stating that LoL has been hacked. Some of your info, and possibly credit card info may have been compromised. It said that salted passwords were leaked as well as first and last names.
I haven't played LoL for more than an hour and my passwords are unique usually, but just a heads up.
Riot being behind the curve of DOTA 2 on outside game things isn't entirely anything new :P
Seriously Riot, spectating, I watched TI3 at full res on my shitty internet in game, able to check all the stats and move the camera while listening to live commentary. Get on that shit.

We know. Most of us were forced to change our passwords. Least the passwords and card numbers were encrypted. Better then sony
Riot's a victim of their success, they never expected to get this big and their engine was never designed for replays/spectators/anything frilly at the start, and they're still playing catchup
Its easy to have all that stuff in your product from day one when you have valve money to build it all in at the start and not have to worry about the things that go along with being a startup company.
Awesome music! Although Vi's music remains my favorite (and I wasn't even playing league yet when it came out; I've just maybe looked it up on youtube several times). And the animation is cool too.
I played 5 games of ranked yesterday and lost all of them. Um...yeah, I don't know. I was somehow playing better when I was matched with/against high silver than now when I am matched with/against low silver. I think because I do my job best when there is some coordination, but I don't have enough leadership capacity to force that coordination.
+32, went from 0 to 97 LP in 3 games. I just need to win 4 of my next 6 games.
Yeah man, your MMR is insane. You're gonna be higher than 1850 MMR after your next game, 1850+ is the Plat cut off, so it had to really ramp you up quickly.
Some advice for new players (regarding post a few pages back) : learn when to surrender. This is my biggest pet peeve in this game. Had a 55 minute AI loss last night that was over 10 minutes in.
also im sure this has been thought of/brought up before but i was fuckin around with lucy in custom games and phage(or tf)/furor enchantment/procing his W is really funny
kite/chase at 500+ movespeed forever. of course it's probably completely unnecessary but its fun
BIg thanks to 2sang, Varega, Cass and Fancy Lad for the game last night.
Cass has shown me the light of toplane Shyvana. She went up against knifekitty and was a total boss the entire time. 2sang does not miss blitzcrank pulls O_O. Also don't fight sej in small enclosed spaces even if your team is ahead.
the best part about taking dragon-chan waifu top is that i had one assist going into lane from our invade and knifecat had an assist and a kill
then later i dived him like a dumb dumb and gave up another kill
lol like i care get hydra push lane murder fools be fat

I feel you on this. I was doing great when i first got in and was playing high silvers. I felt like the skill diversity between players was much less. Now that i've lost enough to drop my MMR, i'm playing with teams that i'm forced to lead. Which is fine, teaches leading too. But i've also learned to say "im a baller here, time to carry no matter what role i have". Now i was on a 8 game win streak until a Silver V Katarina came in saying he was dropped from gold for trolling....it showed. He had 20 kills in 20 minutes. Just sad.
"Look out here comes"..."Susan"..."Suuuuuuuuuuuuusan".
"Woah, I just scared myself!"
Played my first two games last night against real people after playing a bunch of co-op vs. AI games. Figured I'd try Nami after some pretty strong recommendations and...wow. Nami is awesome.
First game started pretty bad and I was thinking we were getting beaten, but they started getting careless and aggressive, so we were able to punish them into an ace and then pushed their base hard. Second game we were dominating pretty much from the start; Nami's bubble really screws people up, so every time they'd start getting a little too aggressive, I'd bubble and buff the ADC and we'd go to town. Ended with 0 deaths on my second game.
I'm definitely not very good yet; I have to be better about keeping my wards up and learning when to return to the base to buy new stuff, but I was happy with those two games and feel like, if nothing else, I did not embarrass myself.

That was pretty funny, I was laughing at some of those engagements where they turned to you and you're all like 'RAWR I AM A DRAGON' and they're all like 'KILL THE DRAGON' and then they die.
Some advice for new players (regarding post a few pages back) : learn when to surrender. This is my biggest pet peeve in this game. Had a 55 minute AI loss last night that was over 10 minutes in.
Also learn when not to surrender. Giving up first blood and being ahead in every other possible way does not mean you lost the game.
@Roz so, have you played much Nautilus? What are the operational differences between Naut and Sej, in your opinion? I love the Big Daddy but I could always use some variety in my tanky initiator jungler lineup.
Nautilus has devastating ganks pre 6, and post 6, his ganks are assured kills if you land your hook. He's a gank heavy jungler who provides a lot of CC and tankiness to his team.
To be honest with you, I'm not the best person to give advice on Naut. I played about 20 games or so with him in ranked and couldn't get above a 50% win rate. I find his early game to be really strong, and his late game to be mediocre at best. I find him to be a hard to jungler to recover with if you ever get behind. And, I find it very difficult to carry on him - which may speak nothing about the character and everything about me. Personally, I think he's a lot of effort for not a lot of reward.
@Jaef Plays a very strong Nautilus, and I'm sure, can give far better advice than I can.

Very very few games are over 10 minutes in.
There are games that are un-winnable, but I always use them to practice something, last hitting, kiting, attack moving, animation canceling. It better to do that, then become frustrated. I will admit that I get frustrated but lately I have been trying to get something out of it. unless you're facing DoubleLift + Chauster ranking up smurf accounts killing the nexus at 12 minutes. You can still come back from it - most of the time.

Roz just sucks with Naut because he doesn't have a bear skin.
Having talented individuals working from the start is a pretty big plus as well.
It's a shame they decided to use all that talent just to make the same game.
Thanks Ice Frog.
It's Ice Fraud, get it right.
Even things INSIDE the game, like being able to click a friendly or enemy hero and read all their abilities, and whether they're physical or magical, is extremely useful for new players.

So I'm in Cologne at Gamescom, and happened to catch a couple of the International Wild Card matches while I was there (Team Immunity vs. GamingGear). I enjoyed the games, though I'm pretty terrible at LoL in general, so I don't have an inkling as to how good either of the teams were. Also, and I'm sure you guys are aware, I have to say that the live coverage and the general presentation was really impressive. I was also surprised at how much of a difference the crowd made in how much I enjoyed watching the games. Streams are nice, but the crowd kept me more engaged and excited than I usually am watching LoL.

but that lucian login is dope
Oh, they should do them one better. CHAMPION themed announcer packs.
How much money would I pay for a Rammus pack?
The answer is all the money.
The entire spectator system first.
Then announcers and hud skins.
Then pretty much all their pre-game interface design.
I'm not saying DOTA's better or whatever, but when it comes to anything outside of the game Valve is so far ahead Riot can't even see the dust trail.
We know. Most of us were forced to change our passwords. Least the passwords and card numbers were encrypted. Better then sony
weird for me to say but super impressed by that, like... damn

But if they don't replicate all the weird jank and bugs of a 10-year-old engine then the game is somehow lesser for it. Or something.
Anyway, yay Lucien! I get to finally spend some of this 11k IP I've been sitting on for weeks.
