I can theoretically see a game that's over 10 minutes in. If, say, one team has a late game comp against a lane bully comp and goes 10-0 and gets all outer towers in the first 10 minutes, then probably the lane bully comp isn't going to pull that out easily.
But I can count the number of times I've seen that happen on one hand.
And that hand could probably be missing a few fingers
Summoners: Heal Flash
Masteries: 4/1/25 (Heal boost in defense)
Runes: Mpen Reds | AP Quints | Armor Yellows | Scaling AP Blues
Items: Spirit Stone, Morellonomicon, Elise's Miracle(I think) [not in that order]
Level 1: q or e
Level 2: whichever of q or e you didn't get last time
W>E>R>Q make sure you have a point of R at level 6.
R>W>E>Q also works but the extra CD on R is not too much and the mana cost increase can be prohibitive. Since you're unlikely to be channeling the full thing for a heal you're OK not leveling it up along the way.
Some advice for new players (regarding post a few pages back) : learn when to surrender. This is my biggest pet peeve in this game. Had a 55 minute AI loss last night that was over 10 minutes in.
Few games are determined in the first 10 minutes, ESPECIALLY BOT GAMES.
BIg thanks to 2sang, Varega, Cass and Fancy Lad for the game last night.
Cass has shown me the light of toplane Shyvana. She went up against knifekitty and was a total boss the entire time. 2sang does not miss blitzcrank pulls O_O. Also don't fight sej in small enclosed spaces even if your team is ahead.
the best part about taking dragon-chan waifu top is that i had one assist going into lane from our invade and knifecat had an assist and a kill
then later i dived him like a dumb dumb and gave up another kill
lol like i care get hydra push lane murder fools be fat
Tell me how to be a dragon pls
step one: pick shyvana
step two: go top with ignite/flash and offensive masteries
step three: max burnout and get a hydra
step four: farm to the tower then build semi-tank, like get a triforce and resistance boots and stuff
step five: IM A FUCKING DRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGOOOOOOOOOOOOON
you do enough damage that you just wreck their squishies but you're strong enough that they have to blow cooldowns to kill you and your mid/marksman can clean up

Very very few games are over 10 minutes in.
At new player levels they can be. I had two unintentional feeders and AI fiddle had already killed every one of us several times. Instead of fighting with the group my teammates were killing wraiths or wolves about 700 distance away.
I have time for one game a night during my work week so I like to get a low stress 1st win of the day / learning new champ match in. With the time my Janna spent dead, I accomplished neither.
When I sent up the first surrender @ 25 minutes, it was around 6v18 in score. One kill was mine, 4 were my lane teemo, one was Kennan + turret.

We REALLY need to play a bot game together. I will show you the power
21/9/0 Blitz with Smite/Teleport basically obliterates bots. Go bot lane, get double kill at level 2, go take bot side Blue buff, recall, buy Vamp Scep, teleport to lane, get double kill, push towers, recall, buy Hydra, etc etc.
Edit: I say this because if you pick Blitz you can essentially 1v5 an Easy bot team.

If you're still new to the game and learning the basics, I would try to use those games as opportunities to practice and try different strategies while being behind. I wouldn't worry too much about winning, but try to set small goals that you can obtain in the game. Playing from behind is one of the harder skills to develop in the game.
for now just go with the armed officers of the law thing and mid lane officer caitlyn and just push the towers to death until they release a proper riot ap mid

HOW TO BE A FAT DRAGON FUCK YOU IMMA BREATHE FIRE AND EAT YORDLES NOM NOM NOM
Shyvana was my favorite S2 champ, I've been theorycrafting and brainstorming builds for her in S3.
I think BoRK might be better than Hydra, the active is terrifying on Shyvana. Hydra's a great, underestimated item, but I think it syngergizes est with champs that want to stack a ton of AD. Shyvana wants enough damage to be a scary dragon, then wants to be tanky enough to giggle at 3 champs + 1 turret attacking her.
Spirit of the Elder Lizard seems potentially very strong. Seems to work on her Q, her W, her E, her R, the R-modified W, and her autos. Basically, everything. Mana regen is wasted, all other stats are perfect, and since Shyvana can't really itemize for penetration, true damage is a great alternative.
Not sure about new Wits End. Most of Shyvana's damage is magic, not physical, and hybrid pen runes + Wits End could reduce an opponent's MR to the danger zone. Still, its expensive for an item to build on a tanky melee champ when it has no AD and no health.
Also considered doing exhaust / ignite top, compensate with early wards to prevent dying early, once you're 6 you're basically ungankable unless you make a dumb all-in anyways. Shyvana gets a tiny bit more benefit out of improved exhaust than most champs, that combo makes her very terrifying to fight when both summoner spells are up.
Not saying these are all great ideas, just king of thinking out loud.

Shyvanna doesn't have to have a lot of sustained deeps because of her high AOE in her w. Hydra makes her q into an AOE too.
So you dragon into their team, auto, q, auto, hydra. Their entire team just got chunked for 5 auto attacks, is sitting In your burnout, and you heal back up a lot of their burst due to the AOE lifeste. Hydra also split pushes faster.
Bork is great for chasing and picking on offenvise heavy champions(ie can't/don't get phage show items) but shyvanna doesn't really need that, she has enough true auto attack resets that hydra means she doesn't need the AS, and she is going to be primarily attacking squishy backliners that she just burst with her combo so the bonus damage isn't as useful.

Do you mean Sight Stone? Spirit Stone doesn't seem that awesome on Janna (I guess the sustain is okay, but that shouldn't be much of a problem)
Could have been worse.
Much much worse.

It is beautiful. It has improved my jungling at least 40%.
