As a poor person, I don't like waiting five years for a five hundred dollar computer to be able handle the latest graphics shit that is now terribly outdated, so the Steambox is a fantastic proposition for me.
I don't care about HL3.

The ultimate disappointment will be if this is exactly what's announced on Friday
okay
if they can figure out a way to make the button inputs modular too i am fucking sold
I fully agree, I love the idea of it.. it's just old news (the patent was applied for back in 2009? and approved in 2011?)... this would be another non-ground-breaking reveal

I think I'm over HL3
Like, once upon a time I would have liked to continue that story, but a combination of six years and the collective internet at large screaming "It must be Half-Life 3!" whenever Valve so much as farts, either in seriousness or in jest, has just soured me on the entire concept
I could never hear about that hypothetical game again and be happier for it
