Brutally murdered every one of those motherfuckers... Including the guards standing outside.

Nothing gets my blood boiling like ruthless thugs in uniform.

when a game gives me nonlethal options, I generally use them, because most of the enemies in that kind of game are just dudes punchin' a clock

no reason they gotta die just because they happened to switch shifts with Bill on that night or whatever

but I did the same thing in that part of DX:HR
oh, you're all just going to exterminate a bunch of civilians?

    okay then

you better call me the sandman, motherfuckers, because you've made your bed and I'm here to make sure you lie in it

Fuck em, they deserved it for being poor. I just got the hell out of there quietly.

Spent all night working on my space plane. So far, it's more like a high-altitude jet that can travel short distances. It's lightweight enough where the two turbojets can take it to their max height (which is about 16 km up) AND not use up their fuel supply.

The problem is the main rocket. I want to use the atomic because of its fantastic mileage in space, but it doesn't have the oomph to break atmosphere. So now I have to think about one of the other liquid fuel engines,

Perhaps a pair of these guys could augment my orbital needs. Or I could, uh, add another atomic rocket. Choices!

So, Crusader Kings, my first run, my king noticed a neighbor was getting old but wasn't dying. His Chancellor forged a claim, and then the king convinced the neighbor's daughter that slipping dear ole' dad some arscenic would help her claim the earldom. Immediately after that, he presses his claim, kicks the dumbfounded daughter out, and claims it for his own. Shortly afterwards, he betrothed his high stat eldest son to a nice French Girl, and gave his son the recently acquired earldom. Everything seemed to be going well....

Then his son died at age 12, of pneumonia. It was like a damn Greek Tragedy.

    I'm loving this game.

I messed around with one of the default space planes by adding massive engines to it and I ended up making a space craft that burned up on exiting the atmosphere.

So the launch vehicle for the Joolian I probe suffered a somewhat catastrophic flight error.

I couldn't figure out what happened at first, but the flight logs finally revealed the error:

I accidentally released the second stage a moment too early, so instead of dropping harmlessly back behind the rest of the vehicle, four Rockomax "Atlas" liquid engines and their eight 2,100 gallon fuel tanks shot straight ahead of the vehicle. I assumed they would lose control and veer off course, but apparently those bad boys just stayed right on target, which is why a collision between the communotron device at the tip of the probe and one of the Atlas engines was recorded thirteen seconds after stage 2 separation.

    I got to the Mun!

There were rocks and mountains there! I was like, I'm gonna go outside and fly around in my fuckin' jetpack shit yes!

There was a mountain, so I climbed it with a jetpack:

    4407FAC59D72D6B2A0DCDE9A40C436EB9E35B015

    Then I fell off:

    A96F51FA4F10D70F1DADE40EE0D91C46965F31CB

I kept falling off the mountain for a long time:

    0EA2436DE0E9021A3C5741DBA91C8283779308F9

    I just kept happening:

    66F665C97851425CD600C46AFB49865F3F26D63B

Basically I kept going as long as the mountain did, which it turns out was the lip of a giant, deformed crater.

As incredible as it is having a gigantic number of PC games installed and a PC that can run them at absolutely beautiful settings, the downside is having to spend a large amount of time configuring and fixing all of the broken shit associated with most of them.

I've spent more time the last few days dealing with specific gaming issues than actually playing them. They include:

    1. Fixing the screen tearing in The Last Remnant

    2. Fixing the flickering textures in Red Faction Guerrilla

    3. Fixing the inability to change resolutions in Red Faction Guerrilla (still unresolved)

    4. Fixing the fucked-up controller inputs in Binary Domain (still unresolved, and I've looked everywhere for a solution)

    5. Fixing a PC-freezing issue with Assassin's Creed III

    6. Fixing a deadzone issue with Bully (still unresolved)

    7. Big Picture Mode's current fucking up with controllers that requires constantly restarting or turning my controller on/off.

Also, I learned the hard way that Steam doesn't sync all of your game saves. I lost some game progress, though most of them aren't a big deal (Max Payne 3, The Darkness II).

But then I also lost my endgame save for Sleeping Dogs.

If you are playing appropriately and carefully, you will *almost* never lose a unit to dumb bullshit.

    *ALMOST*.

If you are lining your dudes up in cover and playing Cowboys and Indians with the aliens, then yeah, you are gonna get smoked by "lucky" hits pretty much all the time.

My brain is unable to let go of the fact that those "random" rolls are just on a spreadsheet buried somewhere in the game files.

Functionally, it is basically the same as a random roll, but I just cannot get over it.
