    Doing what

Having continuity with other films in the same universe?

    Cause it's not really common

No, the hitting someone and telling them what it was for.

No, the hitting someone and telling them what it was for.

She is outside of her plane of existance

    Surrounded by literal gods

Faced with the biggest terrorist Earth has ever seen

Do you really think she wouldn't hit him? And then do you think that she wouldn't try to gain face with her new companions by showing off a little bit?

Like I don't think it always work but it absolutely makes sense here on a motivation and character level

I like the audacity of the line because she just punched someone who was in no way going to feel it. It's just pure chutzpah.

It's like when batman punched darkseid that one time. It's an utterly meaningless move other than to say that you just punched God.

Cliche's are bad when they are used outside of where they make sense, or used exclusively instead of coming up with your own material

They aren't just always bad because they are cliches.

Just like how TV Tropes isn't necessarily bad, just people who quote TV Tropes a lot.

I just feel like it would be better if she said "This is for New York" and punched him and his jaw stopped her fist.

(I always had a problem with superhumans being knocked back by jump kicks)

Warner Bros. is working on a Gotham PD inspired television series set in "Nolanverse"
Did you love Christopher Nolan's Gotham City? Enough to watch a television series about the police force in the fictional city?

ThinkMcFlyThink has learned that Warner Bros. has hired a writer for a new series that will take place between THE DARK KNIGHT and THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. It is said that the series would focus on Gotham's finest trying to battle crime and corruption during Batman's time away from crime fighting. ThinkMcFlyThink believes it's possible that the series might be inspired by the comic series Gotham Central.

There aren't many details about the show at this point, but apparently Jonathan Nolan will be involved with the project the same way Marc Guggenheim is producing Arrow and Greg Berlanti on the upcoming Flash series. There also isn't news about which network it could end up on, although there's a very good chance it will air on CW.

If the series is in "Nolanverse" I don't think it will be connected to MAN OF STEEL or the planned BATMAN/SUPERMAN film but a stand alone series about Gotham's police force could be very interesting, or at least a different take than your typical "cops on the streets of a major city" television show.

So DC wants their own show to compete with SHIELD, I guess?

One on hand, "yay, Gotham Central TV show...fucking finally" but on the other hand...it's Nolanverse Gotham Central.

I mean, right off the bat that prevents you from using Two-Face. Argh.

    This a thousand times.

Nolanverse Gotham is terrible for a series. I mean, which movie is it gonna take place during?

Cause if it's before or during 1, then it's fucked. If it's after 2 it's going to be like 1985, if it's after 3 then it's a crater.

I think it'd have to between 1 and 2, otherwise you can never use batman or joker and you know those would be huge rating events even if they aren't regular characters.

    I...

    So ok

If there were super-villains between 2 and 3, that makes Batman look like an asshole because he didn't do anything about it

If there weren't then how is this show literally any different from a million other cop dramas

Also the only source for that is Think McFly Think which I have only heard of due to another recent rumor for Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Batman in Batman/Superman

So take that with a massive grain of salt

Looks like it's gonna be betweek Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises, which is the most boring time possible since there's no Batman, Joker, Two Face, etc. , and Bane won't be on the scene for ages.

Same difference, genies are supposed to be malevolent bastards anyway because they're enslaved to grant wishes.

Again, this thing looks fake as hell

ThinkMcFlyThink, a website that looks like this:
    Hf0b3c6.jpg
is the only source, and their article doesn't even have a half-assed attempt at "inside sources tell us" and setting it in the Nolan-verse goes against what DC is trying to do with Arrow and Flash and making their own little TV universe. I am 99% sure it ain't true.

    He is Not an X-Man

Because Deadpool is one of the characters listed in Sony's contract

I wonder if he's an actual Kronan, or a just a troll/ogre/rock giant who looks like one. Or maybe they're just combining the two concepts.

Hopefully this puts us one step closer to a MCU Beta Ray Bill.
