Sounds about right. Disturbing body horror, thinly veiled sexual content, horrific violence? All fine. Hinting at a (non-explicit) same-sex relationship? NOT COOL
yeah if that episode wasn't about finn getting boners in his sleep I'll eat one of my many hats
I was shocked that they managed to get away with that episode
I'm convinced that penn ward has some dirt on the censors at cartoon network
so how long until they come right out and say that Marceline and PB are dating
Apparently that was the only time they started crossing the line in Cartoon Network's eyes so they backed off the innuendo for awhile.
What happened was a YouTube series made by frederator( the studio that makes at) but not the AT staff did a whole episode on the subtext. Frederator pulled it of their own volitionbecause people thought it was an official declaration of the relationship
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

it wasn't even a whole episode, was it? I remember it just being a throwaway thing at the end of the episode to prompt discussion in the comments
also that was way the heck back in season 3 and since then we've had pb practically inhaling the shirt marceline gave her (along with a photo of marceline taped up in her wardrobe, and the sky witch noting that the shirt's sentimental value vastly exceeded the stuffed animal that marceline kept for a thousand years)
Is there a guide of the of the episodes that are necessary if you want to catch up

this list is a little shorter but it's missing basically all of the best episodes of the show
it's really hard to pare the show down, because it only has a handful of what i would consider honest-to-goodness bad episodes, and while there are a ton of one-off episodes that are silly or frivolous, the character development develops really slowly and subtly over the course of the entire series, and the fewer episodes you watch, the less of a sense you get of that background character development
plus a lot of the silly and frivolous episodes are hysterical.
like there are tons of episodes that hint at PB having a malevolent dictator side, and you could probably skip most of them, but knowing that about her completely recolors your impression of her in other episodes where that's not explicitly shown
The box for Adventure Time S2 is pretty *chk chk* but mine is really hard to slide on/off because the Ice King cover gets stuck on the plastic of the Nice King side because the bottoms got squished inward a little during shipping.
It's nbd though I will just never take it out of the bluray player.
Also, it seems rather appropriate that they have a cameo appearance of an actor from Star Trek TNG, when this episode's plot was very similar to The Inner Light, which is easily my favorite episode of that series.
Apparently, after this upcoming episode with Flame Princess, the next episode coming fortnight is featuring the return of Simon, and quite possibly Betty...

I've been burning through season five over the last few nights.
I just finished Be More.
After seeing Beemo awkwardly try to find its own place, there's just something super heartwarming about knowing that it's found its purpose with Finn and Jake and has been doing exactly what it was made for this whole time.

The synopsis
"Betty," Monday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
In Wizard City, a magic spell backfires and turns Ice King back into Simon. Now with Finn, Jake and Marceline's help, Simon finds a way to bring his beloved Betty back. Finally reunited with the love of his life, everything is great! There’s just one catch... without his magic crown, Simon will die.
this was an acceptable, and practically requisite strategy to my Recycled Zombies deck...
greatest card combo ever:
sacrifice zombies to the graveyard. I don't care how many, just funnel them to the graveyard via Nantuko Husks, Gempalm Polluters, and Read the Runes.
Funnel a Noxious Ghoul into play or into the graveyard. Get it out of the draw pile.
Play Patriarch's Blessing -or- Remove Balthor the Defiled. (call zombies, remove them from graveyard. or remove all black creatures from graveyard)
-Play any Noxious Ghoul zombies first, then all other zombies.
Congratulations. You just Wrath of God'ed the enemy player's army, and you now have something like 5 to 20 zombies ready to attack.
I thought I remember somewhere they said CB was half-baked...
Could being in the fire kingdom have cooked him the rest of the way (even with the Flame Protection spell)?

I remember there being a series of screenshots that seemed to imply that time he did a backflip and hit his head back in season 1 gave him brain damage and that we've been laughing at a mentally handicapped character all these years.

This was a really good one.
Also, I love that they randomly got Marina Sirtis as Samantha, the dog lady
I like him more already.

Interesting that they added the other set with the other decks. Wonder how much it's going to end up being supported.
The digital version's new, though.

We should get the digital version, and then we could play online. I think?
Unless that's only going to be an app, in which case I don't have any equivalent of an iphone, so that's out.
I dunno.
The visual manifestation of Finn struggling to avoid giving away Bubblegum's plan was easily my favorite thing.
