@GnomeTank I would be down. I am so bad after not playing. My last hits don't happen and I was bad before. I have an rpg group on Sunday at 9 EST/6 PST but I am free most of Saturday.

That's fine, I am having people over in the evening on Saturday anyway to play CAH sort of as a house warming (defiling) party. I'll ping you Saturday sometime after lunch PST and we'll see if we can squeeze a game or two in. As far as last hitting, you can support me in lane if you want. My last hit hand is still strong.

Are the MLG games supposed to be free in-client? Is that something which will last?

i doubt it, they were selling a ticket for it

They are free in client. The thing they were selling just gives you the opportunity to get tournament drops from watching.

Having finally seen the new Veno in game, I would like to formally register my displeasure.

I honestly believe he now has the worst character model in the entire game. The design just looks awful to me, and the movement is horrible beyond reckoning. Whenever he moves around it's like a cobra moving upright, which is fine, except he has two wiggly noodles sticking out of his back jerking around as his torso twitches with each tail swipe.

So he ends up being this.

For the life of me I cannot fathom who looked at the model and animations and thought "yeah. yeah that looks good."

It was, but then got shut down. I would just like to say fuck MLG. Not only can I not watch this on twitch. I have to suffer 3 straight shutdowns of the video feed bitching at me for having ad block on when I try to watch on MLG's site.

Edit: And now a 4th. Well MLG, I was going to actually buy the league pass to watch it in game, but now I'm not.

It's not a technical issue, I can watch it fine. It's a philosophical one.

I shouldn't have to be accosted as some sort internet ne'er-do-well for having ads disabled. Annoying people to get them to enable ads is fucking bush league.

Edit: I guess I should point out, I'm not having tech issues, they're running a script that checks for adblock and kills the video if you have it on. Then they throw up a splash tell you to turn it off. The video doesn't come back on, you have to manually refresh it.

Because clearly, everyone not watching it is having tech issues and isn't just choosing not to watch it because we don't like MLG.

Alliance out if they lose to Navi, right? God the MLG site is pants.

i don't understand what philosophical issue could exist? you don't like mlg, or you don't like having to watch ads, or what? because it strikes me as silly to have an issue with watching a few 30 second ads on a high production value/high visual quality stream.

Played two games today. One on my own as Lich, highlight was soloing a Sven late in the game by kiting him.

Then a game with @Gnometank as Bristleback. I love Bristle so much fun to play. Doesn't hurt I have crazy scrub skills and we played in my scrub league.

    dont think so.

spoiled for [A] vs Navi results talk

I think this was primarily an execution problem and not a drafting problem.

[A] did need more aoe teamfight and probably should have just gone the mag but TA wins her lane matchup 1v1. support rotations were just a lot better from navi--TA had jack for farm 10 min in b/c of that. mag has a much lower downside--still useful with just a blink, and shores up your teamfight. TA is high risk high reward, fails with no farm but snowballs hard in a ganking/snowball lineup if you ever bother to gank.

[A] did fine in the early laning phase, but they had the aggressive ganking lineup and they didn't do it effectively--they got stomped in counterganks or caught out of position. dendi shackling all the things didnt help; but you kinda gotta expect that. xboct ganked better than [A] supports did as the safelane carry. get in a hole like [A] did with a ganking lineup with no teamfight, and its hard to get out.

I don't think I saw cm or alch really cross the river at all, aside from akke arriving late to a gank once and getting picked off. where were the smokes? where were the counter tps? they rushed rosh twice out of desperation... and weaver spent all his time splitpushing to buy time; which is the right move when youre weak, but it means youve given up on ganking

disappointing since I wanted [A] to win based on picks. I like gank lineups and hate naix. ET is also sort of lame these days.

Yeah I'd agree with most of that. I think a lot of teams are playing quite roughly at MLG. Except for maybe DK they've all looked incredibly rusty. Especially after these last few months of basically impregnable dominance from the top two or three.

  • valiancevaliance Registered User regular
first game I've seen but I believe it.

    PBS vs [A]
    PBS just outclassed
really poor decision making, but also just terrible play
I like unconventional picks and lanes, but 5-spot jungle mag?
again sad b/c I like potm and lich a lot meanwhile [A] goes storm ET naix :/

It's just annoying. I don't mind ads, but I hate being nagged about them. I don't even mind them throwing a splash over the feed briefly, but outright killing the video feed...that's a bit much. Considering how ugly and littered their site is in general..it's not an organization I trust to serve me unintrusive ads.

No lag, good quality, mutable adds when I am actually there. Sure beats having to enter each game individually, still prefer streams.

have to say Liquid has been on a huge tear lately, the addition of fluff and qojva has made them pretty strong.

did watch most of the DK vs. navi this afternoon was pretty good, xbo was a farming machine on jugg.
