Hey there, G&T. I've got a bit of a problem, and it's probably not threadworthy in and of itself, so I figure this could be a thread for those little questions that you can't seem to find the answers to elsewhere.
Anywho, here's the deal: I've got some mpeg-4 videos. Whenever I try playing them in Quicktime, I get the audio, but no picture. Help?
While it is true that H/A is more prone to answer things like this, not everyone from G&T goes there. You're missing out on a lot of the (tech related) knowledge base that this forum has to offer (except for the twice and future computer thread... it's so dreamy! )
I have a question: I have a new powersupply (antec smartpower 2.0 500w) that will not stop its annoying fan-squeak. I know it's the fan, as it doesn't make the noise whenever it's plugged in and the system is turned off, which rules out the capacitor problem that these PSUs are known for. Aside from gutting the PSU, is there anything I can do to just get the external fan to STFU? Is it safe to spray WD40 in there [while unplugged of course]? Can I use any type of modification to make the external PSU fan stop moving?

Or get a program called Gspot. Drag the video file over the program and it will tell you precisely what it is.

VLC?

Seriously, it took like 2 seconds to google that. H/A might be more prone to help, as well.
