I decided to dive into another game in my backlog: Shank. Seems cool thus far, although I kind of suck at it. Whenever I play games that have a combo meter, I always feel like a failure for not getting the counter very high at all.

I definitely wanted to try it out before playing Mark of the Ninja!

They're not really the same type of game, so you should go ahead and enjoy MOTN cause Shank isn't for everyone. Klei themselves admit that Shank was sort of a slapped together rush job that they don't regret cause of the love it got their company, but that they do regret that they didn't make it better than it could have been.

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that the games were similar or anything. My main reason for wanting to play through Shank first is that I just wanted to play a beat 'em up and, since it was a game by the same people who made MOTN, I wanted to play it first before fully experiencing a more polished game by the same studio. I've actually played a small amount of MOTN earlier this year. I look forward to playing it eventually.

I'm also happy to see that I have one entry so far for my Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb giveaway! Of course, others are welcome to enter too!

So I activated a few games from the two bundles I bought recently, and I must have passed the 250 mark--cause according to my Steam badge I'm now a certified GAME MECHANIC!

Oh, how I've longed for this day. There's so many games around here that need a good and proper fixing.

You can open up a chat with that person, that's about it. It only saves a little, though, and not sure for how long.

Playing Alpha Protocol, liking it but that damn camera, time to get the PS2 controller out.

I don't know if they ever patched the game where the hacking isn't impossible with KBAM, but I know people used to keep a controller hooked up for that very reason.

Shame about the camera, though. Alpha Protocol 4 lyfe!

Yeah, this game is awesome, but you really do need to use a controller to enjoy it. The KBAM was sub-par.

    Good Morning, Steamians!

I was once contracted by the Truman administration about designing their web site. Considering that the internet did not exist at the time, and I wouldn't be born for several more decades while the letter circulated amongst confused postal workers, I can only assume that someone in the 1945 White House was a witch.

I think it only saves the last chat you had with someone. So if you start a chat and see your previous chat, close it without sending any messages, and then start it again you won't see any chat history.

I notice that some of you are having some really shit-ass days, recently. Hey, me, too.

You know what would make you all feel so, so much better?

No, not that. It's illegal, and where would we find rubber pants at this hour?

No, I'm talking about the most cathartic thing in the world:

ELVENSHAE'S TIME TO SWORD THE HELL OUT OF SOMEONE CONTEST OF WAAAAAAGH!

For those of you who only want your swording in short bursts and like to have other people involved (:winky:), I have a couple copies of the best RUN-AROUND-SCREAMING-AND-THEN-KILL-SOMEONE game ever: Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. Go online, meet interesting people, and then hit them with a heavy piece of metal.

For those of you looking for a longer, more strategic experience, I also have a couple copies of the life-sucking, free-time-devouring Mount and Blade: Warband. While this also features online multiplayer action, my focus with it has always been the single-player campaign, where you start as the lonely captain of a mercenary band of 1 (awww...), and then build yourself up into an Emperor by your own hand (and lots, and lots, of dead bodies; omelettes, eggs, etc.).

All you have to do to enter is PM me and tell me which ones you're interested in. You get 1 bonus entry into my little raffle for every (unique) picture of the Most Ridiculous Weapon, Ever, Seriously, Why Would Anyone Ever Use That? Only the first person to submit a given weapon gets credit for it. Bonus points for it being an actual thing, rather than some animu stuff.

Basically, if you're interested in both, you can enter both raffles. I won't judge.

Also, some of the entries are ... ridiculous.

It's a little hard to describe. Lots of text involved. Basically you go around convincing people to join your club by buying them gifts and being nice to them. You do various things to get money. If you don't get enough people your comedy club gets disbanded by the bitchy club rep.

    So, like real life.

Whoops, I'm thinking about Cherry Tree Comedy Club. -,-

I asked the misses, she said you go to different rooms for lessons and solve puzzles, cards games and word games. At some point you solve a mystery. You also grind lots of puzzles.

Dredd was an awesome movie! When I saw the previews, I thought it looked like a bad ripoff of that south-east asian movie whose name I can't recall right now. Both involved fighting their way through an apartment complex. But it turned out to be just as awesome.
