[Trailers] All trailers contain vuvuzelas and farting until this thread is locked

I like how the first trailer was Lauda centric, and this newest one is Hunt specific. That's how you do trailers. Plus, correct use of dubstep with Flux Pavilion.

Well I wish that hadn't given away the whole plot in a scant 2.5 minutes. That looks right up @rts 's alley though.
+1 looks... interesting.
Edit: Also still not sure how I feel about Squirrels.
I want them to either play it completely straight, or just go crazy/have fun with it. But I hope they stick with a single mood for the entire film (If its made).
Looks a lot more promising than the one that Q from Star Trek directed.
+1 - how long before Google slaps them with a copyright infringement suit?
Brony looks like it could be fun too. a movie like that you'd expect to be cringe worthy and maybe a bit exploitative of the fans its depicting('lets find some really weird ones and make them all look utterly pathetic), but i'm not getting that feeling from the trailer. just a lot of guys who genuinely enjoy the show and want to share that enjoyment with others.

That looks somewhat interesting.
A Paul W.S. Anderson film without Milla? Does that make it better or worse?
(I want to say worse because, well, no Milla, but on the other hand I have seen the last two Resident Evil films....)
Nothing.
Brony just looks like something that will make me sad.
To be fair, it is just a teaser.
But I spent the first half of it going "This is Paul WS Anderson?" and the second half going "well, um, ok."
maybe once they start to show more of it i'll be more interested but for now its no different than if they'd shown nothing at all.
I stopped it half way through and said "I've seen enough to be interested, I'm done".
I do that all the time with trailers though, cause fuck spoilers.
I'm sad they exist already.
i'd imagine that as with any fandom there are those that take it too far, those that do make it weird and creepy. but should we really write them all off because of that? i mean, you're going to find people like that in any fandom. we don't let it ruin anything else.
So sorry.
I'm not saying they aren't completely harmless or that people shouldn't do whatever the fuck they want, but showing up in a documentary alongside the dude with the flowing purple locks and the prosthetic unicorn horn isn't going to do you any favors, no matter how normal you are.
they're teenagers. that's their very definition of defining their lives.

Presumably nobody will be posting trailers for Hot Lesbian Butt-Sluts IV: The Sluttening.
Well now I'm curious.
*goes to xtube*

But the trailer is so amazing. The moment near the end when one of the lesbians pulls out the Destructor, I was like "wow, this sure is going to places".
Well, II was "Slut Harder"
And III was "Return of the Slut".
I thought the trailer was giving away too much of the plot.
well it is a movie based on an Irvine Welsh book so maybe i shouldn't post it.....
on the other hand, fuck it!
Just to be absolutely certain, Red Band trailer posted below.

incidentally, that trailer is the first i noticed that Jamie Bell is also in the movie. interested to see his role it in. confident that he can be convincingly Scottish after his turn in Hallam Foe.
The thing is, if you had a 30 year old woman dressed as 10 year old Link from Zelda, no one would bat an eye. So there's definitely a gender bias going on there. The obvious response might be, "Well, the Zelda series are more gender neutral in terms of audience," but then the question is why. Because the automatic assumption is that male protagonists are for everyone, where as female protagonists are only for girls.
Anyway, there was also another documentary created by Q from Star Trek:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohnuyqJyEW0
Everything about this is awful. Apparently, Q asked for $60,000 on Kickstarter for a small scale documentary, only to receive $350,000. He then lost all scope of coherent storytelling and went completely over-budget with unpaid staffers, so it comes across as persecution and pandering. When the movie finally came out, they failed to advertise it at all, tried to charge $13 for a download, and then blamed the lack of sales on piracy. It's just face palm all around.
The new documentary is interesting because they seem to do a much better job at story and camera work, despite the fact that it was probably operating on a budget of under $20,000. It seems to focus more on why people like the show, rather than what it's like to be a fan.
Really?
I would most certainly bat both my eyes. Heavily.
i think the most apt comparison is all the middle aged women who flocked to see the Twilight movies. now compare that with the idea that men of the same age would make up a portion of the audience for say a Hannah Montana movie? who would be more vilified?
now lets look again at the trailer for Brony. its about a convention for men who enjoy a cartoon that is aimed at girls. sure that seems weird, but as you move past that you get to the point where its about men who have a certain interest, getting together with other men who share the same interest. they aren't hurting anyone, they aren't socializing with the shows target audience, they're just trying to find a place to express their passion alongside others like themselves who feel the same.
i think maybe this might give a little thought, if not perspective,

This is actually a sequel to Primer.
Primer 2: Prime in Da Hood
I would point out that those women are looked down on a vilified. I take it you've never seen the vigorous mocking of creepy undersexed housewives that is part and parcel of every organized mockery of Twilight, especially the movies.
They aren't hurting anyone, anymore then Twilight Moms are, but they are looked down on as weird for obsessing over a kid's shows and it's got alot less to do with gender then you keep implying and alot more to do with it being a show aimed at young kids.
I mean, the internet ain't exactly non-judgemental towards grown up pokemon addicts either:

I think every time travel movie should abruptly end with the Langoliers suddenly flying through the walls and eating everyone and everything.
Well, he did make Mortal Kombat and the good AvP film...
That wins him a lifetime free pass to make b movies with his waifu, as far as I'm concerned.
