Trauma kits are automatically used now if you have one when you die, really handy for when a light breeze hits your decker without any points invested in body.
Hate these Knight Errant guys, but mostly becuase they're kicking my ass on my current run. Lonestar goons are the best goons.
Just wanted to say the Mark VI mission was probably my favorite thing I've experienced in Shadowrun Returns so far.
Really crazy badass run.
Just finished that mission myself. Fucking awesome. I informally dubbed it Waggleton P. Tallylicker, Jr., as the whole thing was basically a turn-based version of this (roundabout spoilers, of course):
Is Chicago the city that was taken over by insects, or was it another major American city I'm not remembering?
Chicago is known as Bug City in the Shadowrun world. It was taken over by bug spirits, which unlike other spirits, require (and feed on) human hosts. The whole city was walled in by UCAS, and a toxin was pumped in to kill the bugs, but it couldn't kill the strongest ones. There was also at least one nuke that I remember that was set off in the city.
It's still a bug-ridden shithole in the Shadowrun timeline, as far as I know. People don't go there.
Poor lady...I just want her to point me in the direction of something to beat to death to make her feel better.
Seriously. I felt so bad for that poor woman. Come to think of it, I gotta say, this time around they really make you realize just how crappy life can be for those trying to eke out a living at street level.

Ah, that's right. Thanks for the clarification. I always ended up playing in games that people were running in Seattle (super traditional).
Okay. Just finished up dragonfall. Wow. They did not pull any punches on this one. What an ending, now I'm incredibly curious as to what they'll do for their next expansion, and sweet zombie Jesus I hope they do more expansions.
Now that the expansion is out, I figure I should go and played through the original campaign again. I can't decide what to play as though. I want to build a pistol user with either mage, shaman or decker. Any suggestions?

Shamans are more of a support class, but they do get Haste, which is one of the most useful spells around, and the Bear Totem or Great Mother Icon/Idol, which are the only AoE healing spells in the game. Their primary stat is also Charisma, which helps with the talky portions of the game. Spirit Summoning is kind of useless in combat, though.
Mages are the primary magic attack class, with more straight-forward damage spells. Why mess around with spells that make it difficult for enemies to target you when you can use spells that make it impossible for enemies to target you on account of them dying?
Keep in mind, though, that if you decide to roll a Mage or Shaman, you probably won't be dabbling in cyberware because it makes your magic suck.
Deckers are more of a utility class and while they have their uses in Dragonfall, I found them to be kind of lackluster in Dead Man's Switch. Although being a Decker in DMS does mean you don't have to take Dodger along on the Telestrian run.

I would say finish DMS. It's not very long, has a great story, and you can treat it like a prologue for your PC before (s)he forgets everything and moves to Berlin.

The developers said in a recent interview that they want to do more expansions, but it is going to depend on how well Dragonfall sells.

Dragonfall seems to take place at the same time as DMS though.
You can see mentions of the Emerald City Ripper on Shadowland.

So the female PC can imply she used to be intimate with Monika (as, I don't doubt, the male PC can), Glory is... let's say bisexual and I just ran across a lesbian elf/dwarf pair. And yet there's not a single gay dude in sight so far.
Just an observation.

I always assumed that sexual orientation in Shadowrun was less about preference and more about "whoever's still alive after that 'one last job' went south, again."
So, I just finished. Ultra Humungous Spoilers ahead on the ending:
I blew the entire thing up, and killed Feuerschwinge. No 1 rule in Shadowrun: NEVER trust a dragon. Am I rite? But now I'm curious what happens if you free her... Also, fuck Lowyfr.
Is Dragonfall balanced for a lvl 1 character or should I import the one from the first campaign? I think I recalled someone recommend fresh characters but I can't remember when or who.

You have to start fresh, you can't import characters.

Yes, although decker + assault rifle is a nice way to run DMS. (I guess anything + assault eifle is solid probably.)

The people have evolved new ways to be alcoholic while the electronics have started to become sentient and are proceeding a plan of world domination.
The food is still amazing there though.

Okay, he didn't actually say that...but he should have.

Pretty sure it was Chicago, and those same insects

Stogies and (I'm assuming scotch?). Clearly what harebrained schemes lacks in funding, they make up for in classiness

How's the new age treating North Korea? Did the Kims become actual demigods?
Due to all the malnutrition of the people they've kept shrinking and shrinking over the years. They're capable of blending in with Halflings.
