what?
no
that's terrible
there's no reason they should not get punished for jumping into a sentry

Yeah, if a market gardener soldier is jumping into a sentry nest he's basically resigned himself to dying, and hopefully getting the engi in the process. Sentries are the one thing MG soldiers can't get the drop on, being automated and all.
...
So blurbl and maybe Kupi were running around with full uber looking for heal targets
I took a screen of this dead sniper just sitting on a rock on my way to the front
and then core shot me in the head a split-second later
That was me not Kupi!
Also, whoa 2345 notifications. I guess it's been a while since I've been around here.
if you see a market gardener coming, it's pretty easy to dodge them exactly once
you just run towards them
after that, though, a good gardener will account for it and it becomes another guessing game, like avoiding a good sniper or scout (except more difficult to deal with because those other classes don't fly through the damn sky)
I definitely think the weapon needs another negative quality, though, since the server I play on is usually nocrit
increased bullet damage while it's deployed seems reasonable
Increased knockback would be funny
just airblast a soldier to the moon
Miss me? Find me on:

One of these days, I'm going to get a new video card that's had it's drivers updated in the last year, and then I'll stop losing my spot on the server.

My thought on decreasing damage from sentries isn't so that a trolldier can get the drop on a nest... it's more so that the soldier doesn't get picked up and mowed down from halfway across the map because of the range on a sentry.... I guess a better way of +/- would be that the increased damage didn't apply to incoming damage from sentries
Yes, we dropped an I in Aluminum. I don't want to hear anything about that though, because my London experience was this:
So my group splits up and gets on The Chyewb at Hammersmith in, we are told to get off at Mornington Crescent (of all stations, yes).
Everyone immediately becomes confused because the stations are pronounced nothing like how they're spelled.
"Barons Court," "Earls Court," fine.
"Gloster Road" - but the sign says Gloucester? Did they just dismiss an entire syllable?
"Not Sedge" - shouldn't that be Knightsbridge?
"Pit Lily Sirs"? Was the Chyewb PA announcer drunk when they did these?
"Lesser Square?" Is that even the same thing as Leicester Square? Are we on the right train?
Taught Nom Carrot... I don't think this is even english anymore.

Yeah 'Mavers just told me that the mode was supposed to have melee only activated, probably for exactly that reason.
That's how every other deathrun (which is like.. 2) I've seen has done it, but I figured the open bulldozer area was crazy enough that maybe weapons-enabled was intentional

Ok so Trainsawlaser is taking a bit longer than I expected. Who would have thought inserting 180+ audio lines into a map in a game engine that doesn't know what the fuck it's doing with sound would take awhile.

Fuck all of my life.
The volume thing is 100% stupid and I have no idea why Valve made their game like that. Maps have almost no ability to do anything with audio, 99% of what we hear comes from the game code itself.
To clarify for the rest of the thread; for some reason at max volume "ambient_generic," the entity used to play sounds, is stupidly quiet, even when ticked to play everywhere. To do Train God's voice I actually stack up the same sound file 4 times and play them at the same time to give it a boost.
So I have to do that with every. single. clip.
And the fun part is that it wont let me do them all at once (as in, place them all, select them as a big group and copy them 3 more times), no, Hammer doesn't like that. It doesn't play the new copies when I do it that way, so I have to select each one and manually copy them over, for every clip.
732 times.
The other fun part is that even using that method of playing multiple versions of the same clip at once (I got up to 12 copies stacked before it got too problematic to work with) still isn't loud enough when playing the sound clip from something rather than all over.
Not to mention all of this inflating my entity count drastically. Good thing I found out I'm able to far surpass "100%" entity data. I've heard of a map working at 600% so I think I'll be all set.

I mean provided you didn't end up throwing up on anything/anyone.
