That makes sense, I'll just do it asap then. I was just thinking I might not want to do it right away if I couldn't create a character on Sarg so I wouldn't be throwing away free days. (I'm committed to joining you classy ladies and gents in <Ghost>) Hopefully, by 9/6 I'll be able to roll a character there anyway. I'm so hyped! All aboard the hype train, w00t w00t!!!

The server congestion on Cactuar seems to be subsiding; I'm seeing people get in every 2-3 minutes now vs 10-30 earlier this evening. I'm guessing afkers are actually logging out now since it's possible to get in in a reasonable amount of time?

whoo, unlocked summoner. now to level CNJ to 15 and unlock scholar, and then get back to leveling arc/smn.

Tanking 50 instances in pubs has taken such a massive toll on me. Makes me not even want to play my warrior. Not enough people in my guild are even 50 so i gotta pub. :(

Gonna play nothing but my arcanist tomorrow, need a break.

The fate migrations in Coerthas are insane. On most of the boss ones, even if I get there as soon as it starts, I can barely usually get a silver. I am guessing most of the people moving en masse from one to another like they do are in an alliance or something?

On my server you would post in /shout that you wanted to join a fate group and then promptly get invited

Then it's an activity of stating where the fates are, rushing to tag and complete it and then coordinating teleports so you can get to the other fates that have spawned quickly.

Usually it's a group of Heavy Parties. when you get to the zone just shout for available parties, join up and off you go!

Things were going pretty great until I tried to do one of the Duties I've been sitting on for awhile. Loading screen ticks for a long time, then error 90000, then error 3102. Wait for the login to timeout, now I keep getting error 10102 over and over and the game is back to being unplayable.

I guess I get to keep waiting.

There are some fates that give achievements, pets, and a substantially higher amount of XP than others. It's not a terrible idea if you're aiming for specific things. Otherwise it's really easy to miss them, or not get gold (for ones that give pets) if you get there even like 15sec too late.

3102's take 5-10 minutes to recover from.

It's really obnoxious, and probably longer than intended, but you can get back in eventually.

Duty finder, at least on Balmung, is currently locking people in with the string of 90000/3102/10102 errors, so I'd hold off on those if you can. The 3102 error doesn't take long to recover from, but the 10102 is completely random. It took me 10 minutes, a friend of mine has been stuck with it for an hour.

Yeah, 3102 isn't a thing for more than a minute or three, 10102 is the new jerk to the party.

Edit: We're definitely not alone, lots of people with issues in the past hour:

Oh. So there are some high end FATEs. Omega FATEs if you will. Interesting. Someone needs to make a list of the special ones.

So many Paladins and so few Warriors. I wonder if people are just afraid to play a tank without a shield, or just afraid of the different mechanics?

It's probably fallout from FF11, where Paladins were the only tanking class (other than ones that used an exploit, like Ninjas), and Warriors were high end, but sub-par, DPS.

Was ninja tanking really an exploit?

No, it was emergent game play. The dev's didn't expect it to happen, but when it came about they let it go. Afterwards they tweaked it some so it wasn't so overpowered, but they let the players keep it.

...and when you are done with that; take a folding
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.

I know of four boss(pet) fates:
    east shroud plant
    costa del sol cancer
    coerthas cyclops
gogoria by the ceruleum processing plant

then there's also behmoth and odin as level 50 super bosses

I waited 15 minutes for Haukke as SCH. I gave up.

Edit: If people are getting kicked when they finish the queue, probably nobody queueing, which would explain it. A shame, since SCH queues are a nice way to level arcanist otherwise.
