Eventually, if the player reaches day 365, Professor Oak appears and says that Pikachu has to be released, as it is a wild Pokémon. The player has to go to the woods where Pikachu was found and say "goodbye" several times, upon which Pikachu realizes he can't live with the player anymore, and, sadly, leaves.
What the hell? How many children were crushed by this?

Did anyone actually reach Day 365 in "Hey You, Pikachu!"?
Also, from that same article:
After the credits, while the player is looking around the front yard and reminiscing about Pikachu, it returns, and the game continues as if Pikachu was never released.
I get that there's a statute of limitations on these things, but I've never played Wind Waker, and there's an HD Re-release coming up in a few days that means many people that missed it the first time get the chance to play it fresh... minus whatever internet spoilers they've run across. I'm just saying, when you know there are about to be first-time play-throughs, maybe back off on the spoilers a bit?
At the end, these credits start rolling and you find out that you were just playing a video game the whole time and it was NOT a documentary of actual events as you were led to believe. I was pretty pissed when I found out.

The names in the credits were actually the various augers, prophets, and gypsy fortune tellers who are credited with predicting the events in this prophecy of future events.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
The third dungeon has a Wizrobe use magic on Link right at the start. He's now sent to an orbiting space platform!
Link has to equip a powered armor suit for the level, which is a single corridor with scripted explosions. To survive the explosions, the player must make micro-payments to keep the suit powered. Alternatively, the player can grind collectables for 9 hours.
Finally, at the end of the level, there is a baby Moblin which you can choose to save or kill. Choices here affect the color of Links hat during the end sequence.
Beat Rayman Legends today and right now I am sitting at around 470 teensies out of 700. Should have it all done no problem by the time wonderful 101 is out
So far I'd say Legends has more content then Origins, but Origins had tougher levels. In the end though Legends is better, more variety in levels, love the challenges, love love looooove the scratch cards (seriously its scary how fulfilling it feels to scratch it out the card on the touchscreen!) and I just feel there is more to do in the game. Origins and Legends are definitely some of my favourite platformers.
Oh shit, Wind Waker in like two weeks. That shit certainly snuck up on us huh?
Folks really bitch about Nintendo not dating games, but when they do they're like a month away. Heh.
Edit: I guess that unboxing confirms that the game and Hyrule Historia are codes you punch in for download as opposed to being pre-installed on the hardware.
If you wanted the Gamepad badly enough but already own a Wii U, you could buy the bundle, then resell the Wii U console with your old Gamepad.

I'm curious, but I don't really want to start this debate again with this, but did they do anything about the utterly mindless and insipid scavenger hunt stuff that ground the pre-endgame into a halt? While I enjoyed Wind Waker far more than I expected, once I got to that scavenger hunt bit and had nothing to really do except it, I just gave up and never finished it (I still don't know how Wind Waker ends to this day). Have they done anything about it in the remake/redo/whatever this is?

Hmmm. I might have to get it then once I pick up a WiiU next year for Bayonetta 2 then. I wonder what they changed.
Edit: I am going to need to sell a kidney at the rate I am buying things next year. Anyone need a reasonably used organ?

Do you want to know what was changed? Spoilers:
In the original game you had to use hints you picked up throughout the game to learn where the 8 triforce sea charts were at...generally from the fishmen in each square who talked about the "golden triumph forks." By the time you had to find them, most people generally had a few of them already, for example, one was just sitting in the middle of the islet of steel. In general though, if you weren't using a guide, this part of the game basically meant visiting all of the islands and solving whatever puzzles were located there in the hopes of nabbing a chart. Then you had to take the charts to Tingle to decipher them for 398 rupees per chart, a total of 3184 rupees for deciphering them all. (This is actually not too extreme an amount of rupees for this point in the game, since during the search you are likely to come across a lot of rupees anyway.) Then you followed the charts to specific locations at 8 different islands at night, to see a shining beacon coming out of the water, which was where you'd salvage a chest from the sea floor and get one of the 8 pieces of the triforce.
In this HD version, 5 of the triforce pieces are instead found immediately where you would've just found sea charts before. 3 of them still require finding charts, getting them deciphered, and sailing to dredge them up. In addition to this, you have a new red sail that allows you to travel the sea at double speed, and whichever direction you are heading counts as being "with the wind," i.e., no more changing the wind direction constantly.

Now I'm imagining a Windwaker/Eternal Sonata crossover. Which will never happen, but would be awesome.
