It's worth noting on Day 1 to check the outhouses though. They usually have a bag or three of weapons at least.
Rats you don't have to worry about stealth action hero. No that could actually be fun. You have to worry about people not wanting to actually play the game. Never pub Rats.
Yeah, Big Oil's a lot of fun. I like having to figure out which is the correct engine. Not really a fan of the PSI/BAR conversion, but other than that it's great.
I may be wrong here but I think the number will always be 400, the only thing that changes is the "greater than or equal to" or "less than or equal to" symbol.
It's not always 400, it can be anywhere from 300 to 500 in my experience. The number on the screen is usually around 400 though, but I've seen it at 500+ before converting, but like Sumanai said.. its the 'less' or 'greater' than that matters, if it's equal you may have to convert the PSI to get the proper readout.

I have never even thought to look in the shithouses.

Rats is still my favorite after all this time. On that map, you don't have to worry about someone wanting to be a stealth action superhero (and proceed to fail the stealth and want to "just die and restart" 15 times). Just good times, meth cooking, gang robbing, rat killing.
The only map I will do the restart for stealth thing on is Frames 3.
Aside from that, I don't mind stealthing it but restarting when shit gets noisy is just dumb and not fun at all.

Yeah, stealth is great and all but the best part of the game is murdering people so I don't mind fudging up a stealth mission if it means I get to shoot badguys.

Well shit.
Apologies to anyone that was in that game with me when my media drive decided to implode.

We succeeded in doing science so it wasn't a total loss.
I only had 15 minutes to play yesterday, but I signed on right as @RisenPhoenix needed help hauling giant bags of gold out of the vault on Framing Frames Day 3. I think that was the most profitable 15 minutes I've had in this game so far.
Ha, yeah it's always nice to join someones game and it's over in the next thirty seconds. Gotta get the cash.
I don't care if money is worthless right now, and I just don't understand the speedrun people. Stealthing a Firestarter or nailing Rats for a million in spending cash is the best goddamn part of the game.
Just waiting for safe house upgrades so I can buy my Scrooge McDuck vault + diving board.

I'll speedrun Ukranian Job if I'm solo. Sometimes I only have 15 minutes to play, so being able to get a couple of cards in that time is worth it, compared to spending time trying to find a PA group or taking a chance with pubbies.
If I'm on for any longer than 15 minutes I'll usually try to find a PA group though, and do a nice 3-day mission.

Oh, totally, and I have nothing against running a quick single day for a card or something. By "speedrun people" I mean people who don't want to max their haul even when they have the time. I guess it's mostly Rats these days, what with escapes.
Nothing wrong with that - at all - but I have a hard time conceptualizing how that's more fun than pretending you're in a bank robbery movie.

Jewelry Store rushes are pretty sweet for cards as well. Run in, shout everyone down, throw 3 bags out to the car, spamming ECMs if worried; bingo, easy cards.

My second choice would be mallcrashers. I can do it pretty quick with tripmines, but I respecced out of the Explosion Radius Ace, so I may need to drop an extra here or there to get full coverage.
I find a full stealth of Bank Heist to be pretty satisfying. Tucking all of those gently-snoozing guards into their cozy sleeping bags - well, it just warms my heart. So much so that in our last run of it yesterday, we were all on the way to the getaway van and I just had to rock a civvie to sleep and put him in his sleeping bag, too.
Framing Frames stealthed is cool too, but man does that last stage take a while. I have yet to do Big Oil or Firestarters.

Four Stores is incredibly easy to stealth solo. Sneak around and slap an ECM on an ATM and then go wait for the van. Takes a couple minutes at most.
Seems like the technician rework is currently being developed. Sentry gun improvement with incendiary ammo? Yes please
Also talk of being able to loop camera feeds and move hostages. Don't know if the hostage movement will be only for tech though. Guessing that one is gonna be a general thing. Tech is also gonna get much better tier bonuses compared to the crap they have now.

I really hope they stay conservative with hostage movement, though. I know it would be more "realistic" to be able to herd everyone into a back room, but the hostage mechanic is built around them being a location-dependent resource. Maybe a limited number of moves, increased with Cable Guy? As long as they don't just make them heftable body/sleeping bag-style, I guess.
So this guy loves his twitter. So damn hard to get information from it though, I hate the format of Twitter: https://twitter.com/locust9
So the highlights I've read in the last little bit:
- big skill tree changes coming, they may give us a free respec
- Major tech tree changes, he agrees most of the bonuses are bad
- "drill skills will become a lot more useful when variable/titanium safes pop up"
I think most people will respec to tech when this patch goes live. STAY OFFA MAH LAWN YOU HIPSTERS!
But I'm glad for the tech changes. My builds starting to pick up the tech skills I've always wanted (gee would be nice if I didn't need 11 points in MM to do my job as ghost) and while all the skills are okay the tree is definitely lacking in terms of tier bonuses and just any solid thematic role.

I was getting a little frustrated when I waited so long for C4 only to have people sawing and ECM-ing things open before the bomb went off...
shaped charges is still the best access skill both in terms of what it can access (everything ECM can and 90% of what the saw can) and what you have to sacrifice (nothing, trip mines are still a functional gadget without shaped charges, ECM is too but is more limited and is completely useless in combat).
recently discovered you don't need the opening perk to use ecms on an ATM which is nice to know.
they need a skill called the midnight bomber what bombs at midnight which has aced skill being a shortened fuse countdown
What?! You only need to be a level 1 Ghost to crack the ATMs? Hmm... I might respec since cracking security doors isn't as useful as I had originally thought.

pretty much. whether that is as intended is another question @jman711 opened my eyes to this. one of those things i think no body knows since they expect to need the high end skill
Yeah, which also means from level one onwards you can farm overkill four stores.
ECM Over-ride is nice, but I'll probably jump ship to just having two ECM's and shaped charges once I have the points to make that switch because in general shaped charges are more useful.
About the only job that 100% needs ECM Override to stealth is Firestarters day 2. Which is super fun to fight in anyway.
I don't see the point of going past the body bagging in the ghost tree if you're not going to get the ECM door openers. Especially if you have C4, the safecracking is redundant
P. Much the only ghost skills that are awesome past the lower tiers are the ECM ones (excluding feedback because lol feedback). Both safecracking and silent killer are kinda neat luxuries if you feel like spending the points.
I would disagree with not going past body bagging though. It's pretty easy to fill the twenty points in ghosts lower tier and having two ECM's is a nice improvement.

It's like my gift to the crowd. "Hey, I just soloed this entire Pro OK job on my lonesome - but all these bags are just so heavy! Wanna carry 'em for a cut of the goods?"
Nevermind the fact that getting 3 extra people in just before we finish drives the Crew Alive bonus through the roof. :ar!

Ehhhhh. As it is, I tend to kill civilians so I can move them because what do I care if I lose a few thousand each? They could just balance it by making it slow like the engine in Big Oil.

Firestarters Day 2 is maybe the best map in the game.
It's insanely difficult to stealth though, unless you're running it with 4 MMs.
