[League of Legends] Get excited for the girl with the super mega death rockets
Cait can be challenging to transition from winning your lane into winning the game compared to a lot of ADs. You've got to herd your team like cats into taking objectives off the edge you got in lane because your midgame is less than spectacular from a damage standpoint. If you were say vayne you've got the option to split because of dueling potential, with corki or graves you've got good midgamr burst to pop people with, with cait you have less things you can do alone so your cat herding skills will be tested.

I'm trying to become good at Ahri, but I'm not ready to take her into ranked yet. Maybe play several more normals as her and then be that asshole who demands mid every ranked game? Who should I not pick Ahri into, if I do that?
Like Zed, you can pick Ahri into any lane and do fine, she's a beast right now

Yeah, I just do not understand how to turn a won lane into a strong game overall. I'm worried that if just me and my support go for dragon (around lvl 9 or 10 or even lower), it will get stolen by their jungle and/or we will die--obviously if I can convince my jungler to help, this isn't a problem, but the jungler is usually playing the gank game top. If I go mid for a long time--like long enough to kill mid tower, the enemy bot lane is free to take my tower and recover lost farm. I do usually try to go mid and get a kill there, but lingering seems really iffy--and sometimes mid gets pissed if I push their lane. I guess I could stay in bot lane and just keep suppressing those guys, but eventually I'm going to end up at the second tower and their jungler will force me to run away and b.
I'm not a good catherder because I find it really hard to type and play at the same time.
Maybe I should be Vayne in ranked; I only tried her once in ranked (and lost). I do play her in every single normal where I am adc, though, in the hopes of gaining mad Vayne skills. They have yet to arrive.
In better news, I do seem to have convinced my husband to finally start playing ranked sometime soon. He'll probably mainly be Kayle, Cho'gath, and Sona, which seems pretty solid.

Spend a little of your advantage on a pink ward for dragon or their buff areas. You can contest these easily off a won bottom lane whenever you see their jungle top. Also if you deny them vision in their jungle and push your side lanes in your team will have an easier time rotating to other lanes for towers and you can generate additional objectives that way.

Or should I just keep trying to win botlane?
I think the problem with trying to rank up by playing botlane in solo queue is that you almost always have to rely on your support to give you the opportunities to outplay your opponents unless you are confident in outplaying 2 opponents by yourself. Also, you are stuck in the bot lane.
If you think about the state of the meta now, together with the general consensus that jungler/support are force multipliers, top and mid are probably better roles to be in if you want to have a larger effect on the game. Especially if you are able to dominate early game and roam to other lanes.
The goal here, of course, is to 1) absolutely destroy your lane, 2) snowball other lanes, 3) direct your team to get objectives and of course 4) to avoid teamfights as much as you can so that you won't have to rely solely on unreliable teammates.
Nope...as support, stick with your ADC. If they're dead, stick to bottom lane. If it's team-phase, stick to the lane your team is trying to defend/push, and don't roam (especially if you're losing). Lee Sin was being Simple Jack. Don't be Simple Jack.

I simply could not bring myself to stick with a Caitlyn who first bought a tear and ionian boots of lucidity (...). I helped her take the first tower, but then left, giving instructions to group mid. Also, she wasn't the one feeding (and my support did stop lee sin from feeding)--and I had to go deshroom the jungle in any case.
There was no laning, only totally weird roaming. No teamfights, because no one would group anywhere. So sad.
I wonder if Kayle's E counts as ranged for those purposes.
Yes, Kayle's E is essentially a toggle that turns her auto attack from melee to ranged
Thanks. Well, shit. I wonder what item I should be rushing after Greaves/Soulstone on jungle Kayle, or if I should just continue rushing phage->triforce.

Lizard Elder after Soulstone, then Brutlalizer into Cleaver? That could work.

Yeah.
Though now I wonder if it'll change the build order.
Like, do I still rush Triforce or do I go back to BF Sword/BT and then Triforce? Going AD first and then going sheen-TF seems like it might work better now, since now Phage doesn't have as much oomph.
Yeah.

all i know is that it's still the bees knees on evelynn....
This is how I imagine the text messages between Morello and the balance team went last night after the Gambit vs SSOzone Game.
Best part is that eveyone is still trying to figure out where Triforce is good and where it isn't a must have. Maybe it's viable on all 100+ champions now, maybe it's not, but don't go releasing stuff like that into the wild until you playtest it extensively. Who am I kidding, this is Morello.

I just love how it was "We want people to actually buy Phage. Also Triforce, no one's buying it.
SHIT SOMEONE'S BUYING TRIFORCE.
Like I don't think Triforce Kog is the best build. I mean kind of with his Rs, but I would put Kog mostly in the "Doesn't fully use Triforce" camp. Granted I'm no pro, but I get the feeling that it's more "everyone's using tf because it's the new shit" and not "TF is just op and needs a nerf now"

kog has ap ratios out the yinyang
its fine
w procs it, attack, e procs it, attack, r procs it. you'll get your mileage worth
Ok. I also don't play much Kog. So I don't know really how effective it is.
Still though, I think the idea of Triforce being a really useful item on certain champions and not that useful on other champions was, like, exactly what they said they wanted.
I mean, there were non-triforce Cait's and non-triforce Vayne's yesterday too
The 150% -> 200% change on Trinity Force is really nice. What really makes it a viable ADC item now is the kite it provides from Phage. Stack Phage and Fevor boots for "you can't catch me" mode.
Tekno doesn't post in the league thread....
Who are you and what did you do with Tekno!?
Tekno got bored and wandered over here.... Just loving new Trinity Force right now.

Essentially as Caitlyn, you like to choose where you fight. So when you group, prep the area. Wards and traps. Give yourself a trap formation appropriate to the champ compositions. They have divers? Put traps barely behind you so you can kite. Your team has better dives. Put them on you and ahead so no one has a straight line to get you. As Caitlyn, you're one of the best siegers. I've watched too many Caitlyns fail to setup their traps for sieges. When you're sieging, you need to be able to get to safety fast.
As an ADC main now, I buy lots of wards. Watch the World Tournament, sooo many wards! In solo queue, information is key. If you teammates have the same information as you do, they will most likely make similar decisions as you. When you're in sync, you tend to win.
No, seriously, what in the fucks? Now the item is strictly worse than it was before.
Goddammit this is why I hate when they change things or add 'buffs': they do it half-assedly and then 'OH OOPS ITS TOO GOOD: BETTER NERF THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF IT!'
10 AD!? 10!? That is a fuckload of damage to lose for absolutely no reason.

really impressed by vulcun's level of play so far in the group stage. hope they can keep it up.

Leave my Triforce alone!
Or just put it back the way it was.

Yelling at butts will never NOT be funny. Thanks, Psy!
Also, Abby is awesome. Keep up with TLH because it's the tits!
I love League of Legends, but seriously...screw you, Teemo.
I think gutted is a bit strong. A love tap maybe.
Its still very strong, but the anti-kiting ability for ranged characters is just reduced by 50%.
Wonder if this patch will go in after the group stages?

And yeah, I think they use one patch for the entire tournament.
well that was fast
Completely off topic, but I've got an Infinite Crisis beta key to trade for a Hearthstone beta key if anyone's interested.
Aaaaaand its gone.

Rageblade or Shiv.
But man that AD nerf
