Homeschooled kids are going to have parents that actually care about their children's education compared to the mix you see in . They are also likely to be wealthy enough to be able to afford to homeschool their children.
This depends on the amount of poor religious nutjobs homeschooling their children.

From what I understand, the reason they get so much money pumped into R&D is because Spaaaceeeee
A lot of talking is made about how they are more energy efficient and lead to less animal suffering/use and I think that is a bunch of shit, mostly, because of aformentioned need for some biological serum input.
I read that a company is developing an animal-product free growth serum, which they will then use to grow artificial meat and avoid the problems I see with it but then its like
So you grow vegetables, to harvest nutrients, to make a growth serum, to grow meat in a lab, so that you can eat meat with less of an environmental impact and less animal suffering
Or uh
You could just eat less meat?
Basically I think the fascination with labmeat is a product of America's obsession with meat products in general, and the general recalcitrance usually displayed when people talk about consuming less
Hmm, interesting,
My girlfriend has been on the PETA hate brigade for a long time, especially about their faux-rescues, so they've never gotten any support from me. When I was a teenager I volunteered at the SPCA and I take in strays is about as far as I go, but I know a lot of people that're fairly into it, so it's definitely a too taste thing moreso than any sorta orthodoxy.
I wonder how good the meats gonna need, or how cheap it'll need to be before it'll really start to sell.

I always thought homeschooling is what super religious people did to shelter their kids from ideas.
I'm pretty sure a much smaller percentage of homeschoolers take the SATs and ACTs than public high school students. Some states require every public high school student statewide to take the SAT. That's going to skew numbers.
Yes, because it's the homeschooling that causes the rise, and not, you know, the fact that homeschooling requires levels of parental resources and engagement that are known to be correlated to higher grades and scores.
a kid with a parent willing to spend that kind of time with them on their schooling who goes to the shittiest public school in the country is still going to beat the curve (as long as he doesnt get stabbed)
I'm not really sure what the idea with "America's obsession with meat products" comes from. Like, it's not like America just sprung out of the ground overnight and was like "MEEeeeeaaat."
Pretty sure most Western countries have habits like we do in regards to dinner. Hell, Americans probably are more diverse than say England or France. The only difference being French people eat snails.
bowen on
not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me

Americans eat more beef and chicken, on average, than other countries, and we are second in the world for pork consumption

If you're going to the shittiest public school in the country, then by definition you're not getting the same investment of parental time.
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

I am in extreme doubt of your statements at this point in time.

well right, if you're wealthy enough to homeschool your kid (in most circumstances) they'd be going to, at the worst, a decent middle class school
