2. Draw
Players draw 2 cards from their House deck and add them to their hand. Targaryen - robinlambert draws 3 cards due to Title.
3. Marshalling
The active player completes all marshalling before the next player clockwise. On your turn, first determine your income (add the income on your revealed plot card to any income bonuses on cards you control) and take that number of gold tokens from the Treasury. Now, play cards from your hand, paying their gold cost until you either run out of gold, run out of cards to play, or stop.
You may also attach duplicates to your unique cards, at no gold cost.
A card that has been ‘used’ is rotated 90º and is kneeling. Only standing cards may be used for actions that require kneeling.
(3.7) Card Abilities
"Card abilities" (i.e. "Character ability,", "Location ability," or "Attachment ability") refers to anything in a card's text box, except for traits, keywords, and flavor text. "Card abilities" also refers to any abilities (again, keywords and traits are excluded) gained by card effects
This also wipes everyone's +gold locations too. Woo!
T's plot - PLOT - Burning Bridges - Inc: 5 Init: 0 Claim: 1 - Intrigue Gambit. Players cannot trigger abilities on character, location, and attachment cards in play. - only affects triggered abilities.
FAQ - "Triggered Abilities: Any ability on a card in play that begins with "Phase:" or "Response:" is a triggered ability. These abilities are optional, and must be triggered by the player controlling the card at the appropriate time for their effect(s) to occur. An example of a triggered ability is the Dominance : effect on Cersei Lannister (CORE L39)"
LOCATION - Great Hall - Cost: 2 - Dragonstone. - Limited. - Marshalling: Kneel Great Hall to lower the cost of the next House Baratheon character you play this phase by 2.
CHARACTER - House Tyrell Guard - Cost: 2 - STR: 1 - Icon: Military, Power - Ally. House Tyrell. - Response: After one of your House Baratheon characters is killed, put House Tyrell Guard into play from your hand.
The Blackfish visits Lannister to claim a renown power from a military attack
Since my plot makes characters immune to events, Lannister has no characters, and nobody can declare defenders for Lannister, I believe that is the end? Even if you could somehow stop him, I still have ned + bran + title for a str 8 power attack and Baratheon only has 7 str
Well, now I'm going to run... AWAY!
from this crazy game for a while.
If I do pick it up again, I'm pretty sure it should be a deck-building game, as it's meant to be IRL.
Of course, that would be some work.
Stay tuned for further details of the zombie uprising!
Nah, cause that's what we did. We picked a deck and played it. What the game rules as written advocate is allowing players to construct decks from the cards they have available. It differs from a deck-building game since we're not constructing the deck as part of the game itself, but prior to it.
"Go down, kick ass, and set yourselves up as gods, that's our Prime Directive!"
The idea of CCGs was pioneered by a member of Louis XIV's court in the early 18th century. Games like that came and went so fast, they just referred to them by the year in which they originated. So it was just called a "1701".
Which would make Phyphor's suggestion NCC1701.
The second C is because I failed to think this all the way through before running with the gag, and decided to do it anyway.
I don't mean to hijack the thread but myself and 3 friends are looking to get into this ASAP...i just wanted to know what i should be buying to get us in? There is so many things on Amazon i don't want to overspend only to find out it was worthless
You may want to wait, as they are getting ready to put out a 2nd ed.
If you go for the 1st ed, obviously, you'll need the Core Set.
I bought just that to determine if I really wanted to get deeper into it.
That's all you really need to play it but the AGoT Deluxe Expansions will really fill out the decks.
