At least Watch Dogs at least can do some open-world justifications for that shit. Nvidia posted specs for the next Call of Duty on its site, and it also wants 6GB of ram minimum. They're recommending a GTX 780. call of fucking duty wants six gigabytes of ram. Though, I don't think those specs have been officially confirmed by Activision, so who knows.

Salvation Prophecy looks awesome, would like to see more will-dissolving reviews of it.
Man, Magic2014 seems to want you to fail; or at least buy extra decks. Can't get out of the tutorial until you use the completely unfocused starter green deck against the "Fuck you, burninate" red deck.
Took like, 5 tries before I pulled the deck's single Primeval Bounty and buried the AI under 3/3 creature tokens. But if that was the theme of the deck, shouldn't there be like, 4 of those in there? Because trying to take on a red deck with a bunch of instants, 5/1 creatures, and flyers that can be resurrected from the graveyard for a few mana with some random, unfocused medium-size green beasts is an exercise in frustration.
I hate the starter deck. I've spent most of the time with it raging against whoever built such a clumsy deck.
Eh? The starter deck is OK against Chandra's deck. I just reset the deck back to the default list and beat it two out of three times; my loss came in a game with drawing land in four out of five consecutive turns, with the only spell being a Nature's Lore. And that shit happens. I'm not saying that the starter deck has an auto-win against Chandra's deck, but neither is it particularly ill matched. Your creatures are generally beefier, you get Overrun and Enlarge and such to pump them up to push damage through, you get spiders to block Chandra's fliers, etc.
It does actually have an auto-win (or damn close to one): Primeval Bounty. Beyond that, though, (and excuse my noobishness in the ways of magic), both are basically aggro decks, but Chandra's is the stronger in the early game, where Garruk's would be stronger in the late game. The problem is, Garruk has nothing in the base configuration to help you stall to the late game where you're more likely to win.
The green creatures aren't really that beefy; lots of 3/3, but when you're up against a set of 3/1 or 5/1, at best you trade on the ground. Chandra's also got the fliers, two of which can be returned from the graveyard for a simple mana cost*; even if you get the spiders out to deal with them, they come back. She's also got plenty of instants that can burn down your army, which you have no counter for, and don't forget those Lava Axes!
You get, what? The White Wolf's hexproof is nice, but it's a 3/1 and you only have one of them. You've got some auras/enchantments to grow your creatures, but you either need to stall until you've got the mana pool to play the creature AND the buff, or pray she doesn't kill the creature between turns. And, of course, if you can pull Primeval Bounty and get it out early, then you can bury her under 3/3 creature tokens.
But really, if you don't pull Primeval Bounty early, your entire game relies on her getting terrible draws so you can limp into the later game when you've got the mana base to grow your creatures until they give no fucks.
*Edit*: Correction: Chandra's deck has 1x Firewing Phoenix, which you can return from the graveyard to your hand for 3R+1, and 2x Chandra's Phoenix, which you can return from the graveyard to your hand whenever you do damage with a red sorcery or instant, and it has haste. :P
The Darramous guy made a thread saying that if there wasn't a cockpit mode, he wouldn't buy the game. The game's dev (or one of it's devs, I don't know), JabberwockyX, responded with his/her reasoning as to why they didn't include it and that they would take the feedback from fans under consideration. Then Darramous said, "Less defensive bottom anguish more cockpit" (that means butthurt, btw) and the dev pretty much told him to fuck right off.
Pretty ballsy for a dev to come right out and say that, but there you go.
That's the arma series in general for me, although its more that I don't have a rig to run it than anything else....plus I want aliens and a deeper single player.
Congrats to whoever won my giveaways. I don't know, as I'm at work, and Steamgifts is blocked! Add me on Steam if you're not on my friend list por favor.

Ah. I thought it was a reference of some kind. That's pretty cool
Dammit @Cardboard Delusions, I hop in the steam thread for 5 minutes and you drag me back with Papers Please!
But seriously, that game looks incredible. I always love when a game is willing to try something different, make gameplay out of something that hasn't been gameplay before, and even Yahtzee couldn't find anything negative to say about it!
I had heard there were framerate issues with AC 3. Is there any truth to that? $7.50 will be my magic price for it, personally.
@idx86 I bought it last night and played the tutorial, I didn't notice any issues on my ancient GTX260 with everything on high, not sure if it will stay that way when I get out in the open though but I'll find out tonight
The AC games, like half of Ubi's ports are generally pretty CPU bound. It has (or at least had) issues with some multicore processors and old ones generally bottleneck it as well. Not sure if it was ever patched. Don't expect silky smooth 60 FPS in Boston in general.
They seem to be improving. The Blacklist port, from what little I've played of it is so far very good.

That is definitely not my experience after several goes with it. Are you playing on mage?
Nope. Planeswalker.

Okay, sounds good. The stuff I read was related to ATI chipsets, but I didn't know if GeForce stuff was affected too. Please let me know how you get along. I have a GTX 460, although I have heard there will be so e price drops forthcoming on 660s so I may upgrade soon.

Sir CarcassI have been shown the end of my worldRound Rock, TXRegistered Userregular
finally broke down and picked up asscreed 3 deluxe edition
been wanting to for practically every sale, but kept holding back. Apparently $24 for the deluxe was too tempting.
I have a feeling I'm going to cave before tomorrow afternoon. I loved the AC2 games, and would jump at the base game price, but I have this weird thing where if there's DLC available for a game when I buy it, I have to have it all, and the deluxe price is a little out of impulse range.
The Darramous guy made a thread saying that if there wasn't a cockpit mode, he wouldn't buy the game. Yeah. I just bought the game based on Jabberwocky's smack down of that troll. My backlist may be huge, but I'm making time for this.

Don't know what to tell you, then. Most of my losses were sequences in which I was making the only available play, until she got a bad hand and didn't have a single permanent played before I smashed her with a surge.
I got to play some Cook, Serve, Delicious! last night. Since I'm the only person on my friends list that owns it currently, I figured I should report back.
Basically it's a fast paced puzzle / time management game. Each of the different foods you can serve has its own little button sequence or set of commands you have to carry out (according to the customer's specifications), and you have to do all that while managing the queue of customers and the chores like doing dishes.
Orders can be prepared entirely via the keyboard. If order #2 is somebody asking for a salad with ranch, cheese, and the works, you type 2 to start the order, R to add the ranch, C to add the cheese, B O M G to add the rest of the optional ingredients, and Enter to serve it up. Serving up sodas is my one weakness so far: you have to tap "up" multiple times to select the size, move the cup under the correct spout, dispense the soda, and add ice if requested. Pouring beers is much easier.
It's definitely a casual type game (I believe it started out on the iPad/iPhone), but it has plenty of variety and there are lots of upgrades and improvements to make to your restaurant. It has a fun management aspect where you buy new types of food, adjust the menu, buy and upgrade equipment, etc. I enjoyed what I played so far and I'm looking forward to messing around with it some more this evening.
There's also an achievement in there that I was really pleased to see:
I'm currently scratching my head and getting a serious case of brain-ache while reading papers on genetic conflict and the evolution of sex-determining systems... so, it was like a breath of fresh fetid, dank, abandonded space-facility air when the gift of Telegitch popped up to bring me both cheer and a sense of impending doom.
I'm wondering what is scarier; presenting on a subject I'm pretty clueless on, or tackling the terrors of Teleglitch. Gulp!
With the update to terreria I decided to sell some random cards to buy another set and got a booster pack immediately after crafting the badge...it's like they know.
It's definitely a casual type game (I believe it started out on the iPad/iPhone)...
It started as a PC game and then was ported to mobile. It was on available for purchase and was on Greenlight long before the mobile versions came out.

Ah, you're totally right. I missed that bit when I checked its gamefaqs.com page.
Tried Guardians of Graxia and I thought it was pretty neat. It doesn't really feel like a board game tho, just an SRPG with cards.
It's a fun game. It's basically a fantasy conversion of a game they did for XBLA called Panzer General: Allied Assault, which I was a pretty big fan of. I don't think their fantasy setting is quite as compelling as World War II, though. Still, I think the mechanics of the game are fun and everyone getting that bundle should check it out. Pretty neat little deck based strategy game.

Picked up Bionic Dues, as I'm a sucker for anything vaguely rogue-like.
Pretty hard so far.
Ooo, that looks neat.
More info on this game please. it twinged my buttons with 'turn based' and 'rogue like', but i cant watch videos at work. would like some impressions.
It's neat. You've got 4 mechs at your disposal but one at a time. So even though you have an assault, a siege, a science, and a ninja you can only control one at a time. Switching which one you're using takes a turn. Science can hack, ninja can cloak more often, and assault and siege are your heavy hitters. You've got 50 missions to build up your forces and sabotage the robot forces in preparation for the final mission. The mechanics are super simple, but I find myself blowing up a lot. Seeing explosive ranges on stuff would be handy, and opening doors is always a hazard. I like that it's broken up into missions as it gives an easy way to know when to save and quit. Also, the loot you pick up goes into customizing each of your mechs weapons, shields, and power generator.
It's cool, and on one hand it's easy to slaughter enemies. On the other, it's also very easy to get blown up and lose your assault and siege mechs, which (for me at least) usually means I'm losing that particular mission. If a mech gets killed it's out for that mission but comes back upon return to base.
It is notable that Ubisoft, Activision & EA all went bump with their recommended system on their flagships right away, but not really surprising.
The only thing that surprises me is the recommended i7s, I know the nextgen consoles are 8 cored too, but I was under the impression that the AMD 8 core is not that similar to the i7 8 core setup. i7s are also pretty rare, if you look at stuff like the steamsurvey.
This probably is the end of 32bit/dx9 gaming though. Doubt you'll see that much in a year or two, they want to move beyond that RAM limit.

Yeah, aside from the fact that the game is just fantastic and fun (I played 3 hours last night total), the dev (it's really a one-man team!) being very active on his forums and the Steam forums and not bending over to take it from an entitled troll rockets this game to the top of my list of games to be promoted, glorified, and gifted.
My 19-month-old daughter had cataract removal/lens replacement surgery this morning, and it went perfectly! She's doing great! I am utterly exhausted, but happy. To celebrate, here's something that will let you do the opposite of all the good things that happened to my daughter this morning.

Also far less people playing than I would have expected
