My 19-month-old daughter had cataract removal/lens replacement surgery this morning, and it went perfectly! She's doing great! I am utterly exhausted, but happy. To celebrate, here's something that will let you do the opposite of all the good things that happened to my daughter this morning.
yea that shit is scary. our guy had head surgery this past december and it probably was the worst thingi have ever gone through.
As far as that troll went, Freespace 2 didn't ship with a cockpit view and it still has a pretty thriving community and is racking up sales for GOG. Did I-War have a cockpit view? In fact, the only one I recall with a cockpit view that everyone wants is also the series (singular and plural) that we can't get legally online.

I'm not sure what you mean by the bolded
Lots of games have cockpit views
Descent and the sequel. Don't remember 3; didn't play it much.
TIE Fighter had cockpits
Wing Commander
All of the *Siege games, which (to be fair) aren't SCS games
I'm under the impression "cockpit view" is something that's on the Great Checklist of Space Combat Games. This could easily be mistaken.
Is there a reason why The Wolf Among Us seems to be more expensive on PC than on consoles?
Because for console you don't buy a season pass. As with Walking Dead, the first episode will be the "game", and each episode after that will be separate "DLC" that you buy when it comes out.

Finally, we would like to express our condolences to everyone who's been furloughed by the shutdown. More than that, actually, we'd like to offer you the games pack of our special Shutdown Promo for free. Send an email to [email protected] with your picture holding the official furlough letter you received, before Friday 11 October 2013 at 12:00 EDT and we'll give you The Guild: Gold Edition, Capitalism, Capitalism 2, Tropico: Gold Edition, Alpha Centauri + Alien Crossfire, Theme Hospital, and Redneck Rampage free.

Agreed. My youngest had surgery to repair a hernia in his abdomen area when he was only 4 to 5 months old. It was scary, but surgery went without a hitch!

Yeah cause if Government employees need anything, its a distraction during work.

Because for console you don't buy a season pass. As with Walking Dead, the first episode will be the "game", and each episode after that will be separate "DLC" that you buy when it comes out.
On XBL, it seems like the base game is $4.99 and there is a season pass (episodes 2-5) that is $14.99. That adds up to $2.50 cheaper than the Steam version, even with the 10% discount that Steam has right now.

Hence my point. Unless the console versions are going to be shittier, or we're getting something special on PC, why the price disparity? Are they charging for better textures?

However i love this idea
It's for the employees that are out of work because of the government shutdown (the free games, at any rate). :P

sadly i can top that as the head surgery was not his first, but probably not the place for it

A note -- Wing Commander Prophecy didn't have cockpits other than a few struts and such, and neither did Starsiege. It seems kind of unlikely that WC4 didn't have cockpits since I know WC3 did, but somehow all the screenshots and YouTube videos I've looked at suggest that it didn't, either. And Descent wasn't really a SCS.
Independence War didn't put you in the cockpit; you did have views for each station on your ship. Independence War 2 did put you in the cockpit, which was struts-and-HUD.

I assume the bolded was X-Wing/TIE Fighter.
I-War has a cockpit view at the pilots station. All of the other stations have their own unique interfaces. Cockpit views started out as a kind of optimization trick in space sims, so you wouldn't have to render so much stuff. I prefer to play without them personally, since the cockpit views can block a huge portion of your view.
And Salvation Prophecy isn't really a sim anyway. It's more like a simpler rogue squadron in its space battles. There's nothing really that complex about the game. It's a lot like Sid Meier's Pirates! in that way. If the game was just space combat and ground combat it'd probably get repetitive quickly, but the game is very good about giving you stuff to do so you'll always have decisions to make. I was having a blast with it on Desura before I got distracted by something shiny. Hopefully the steam keys for the Greenlight bundle buyers won't take much longer.
So yeah, JabberwockyX gave that dude the response he deserved. It really is fun to watch one of these customer is always right jackasses get told for real like that.
Last week I bougth'd Borderlands 2. It's a pretty awesome game in all respects, amazing sequel to an already great game. I've been playing it on and off for the last week.
You know what, though? The entire past week or two I haven't been able to get FIFA 14 out of my head. I've barely played any games in the series in the past, I don't follow soccer (or any sport really.)
I've already bought the android version, but I keep eyeing the PC version (already tried the demo.)
I think next paycheck I get it.
