Spud's Quest is an indie adventure game for Windows that draws its inspiration from retro classics like the Dizzy series, The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid.



The project was successfully funded on Kickstarter in November 2012.and released on September 14th 2013.



Take on the role of Spud and his friend Prince Charming, who has been cursed by an evil wizard and turned into a frog. The pair set on a journey to uncover four ancient elemental essences that have the power to banish the evil and remove the curse.

I can't seem to get a controller (ps3 controller emulating a 360 through usb) to work for this and I had an error starting it up where it would download the update and then go to a small black window that stated 1/2 and stick there.

When I launch through SpudsQuest_new as opposed to the shortcut it fixes the launch issue.

Only about an hour in so far and it seems pretty nifty. I laughed far too hard at getting the first castle pass than I think I should have. This is a very cute game so far.
